Is it just me or is dave mustaine not really a good guitarist? I have heard him play and the other guitarist in megadeth and to be honest the other guy kicks mustaines arse. And why isnt John Petrucci on that list? To be honest i think he could out play them all. But out of that list i would have to say dio or james hetfield. I voted other.

The first death metal album he drummed on was Individual Thought Patterns from 1993. He made a name as a drummer in Dark Angel and only later was employed for other stuff as well.

I agree with that, but I think that he is one of the best drummers on the Metal scene...and there for he is a "father", bu if u want to talk about "fathers of metal" than Ozzy is the "main guy", and this is no big deal, everyone have the right to have its own opinion on everything. I think it this way and that's it.

I agree he totally is one of the best around but I just find it weird you would call him a father of death metal. Cause he hasn't drummed on that many death metal albums. (I think two or three that's it) He also drummed on an Old Man's Child album but I am sure you wouldn't call him a father there. For thrash yes I can understand but not for the other genres he's drummed in.

And Galder made a great choice for calling him to do the drumming.

What makes any of these guys "heroes"? They are inspirational and you want to be like them? I guess I will vote for James Hetfield because I want to be an alcoholic drama queen, or wait should my hero be Dave Mustaine?

For Solos, it true. Any other guitarist Dave mustaine has can kick his arse easily. but rhythm wise, i have yet to see his equal imo

I wanted to choose Ozzy but I choosed jaymz yeah! who cares? all of them are nice guys and heroes all of them.

Rob Halford or Steve Harris. Or Bruce Dickinson.

All on the list are heroes in my eyes, its hard to vote really, but i guess the most important hero is Ozzy IMO, and I really think Chuck Schuldiner should be up there topping the list R.I.P
