Blind Guardian and Iced Earth are my two favorite power metal bands, and I can never decide which of the two is better. So what do you metalstormers think?

Demons And Wizards!

My thoughts exactly not sure if they'll release something else together soon.

Demons & Wizards is how I discovered both of these bands, haha. Should've made that an option.

Iced Earth is going worst and worst since Horror Show, tho they were one of my favourites in the 90's... so my vote goes for BG, a band that is still doing good things

you can find them easily at Hmv Archambault or other reccord store if their is none in your area you can always use Amazon.ca

I don't have a credit card or anything to buy stuff online, and i usually check all the record stores here and I can't even find the little Demons and Wizards card thing.

I like Iced Earth, but then again I haven't heard much of Blind Guardian.

NEVAR! I will find them, my ex has their albums so i can find it. Even though i haven't found it yet. I'd rather get the store to order than download.

I just perfer to own cds, and I'd download albums that I can't find if i knew how.

I have to agree, owning a hard copy is so much better than downloaded stuff. You can't turn downloaded files over and over in your hand and whisper "My Precious" now, can you?

Nope but when you live in a small appartment with a girlfriend a computer disk takes way less space then an album library and for the legal stuff well their is a lot of download sites where you either pay monthly and they buy the rights to have the music on their site or you pay per album.Basically it takes less space and the money goes still in the right pockets.For the same reasons i'm undecided about getting an e-book.

Thats shitty, I don't even know whos stalking me now adays.

These bands stand as equals in my book. I have everything both bands have put out, including Demons and Wizards. I've been listening to these bands for close to a decade and I still can't say that one is better than the other. One thing for sure, when Schaffer and Hansi get together, Metal happens. \m/

Blind Guardian...i like only a few songs by Iced Earth, but almost all by BG

I think combination of this two is the best, so Demons & Wizards is the best.

Yeah, I "really" should've put that as an option. I wasn't thinking when I started the topic. I spent three hours listening to Demons & Wizards last night, must say they're better than both individual bands.

Very very different bands imo, but of course i prefer Blind Guardian

Those two bands are both worthy in my book, but I am going to have to go with Blind Guardian on this one.

I do like BG as well, but IE has much better discography, almost every album is great. And "Alive In Athens" is one of the best live recordings ever. Really good stuff.

I also like the overall sound of IE better, and they are a kick ass live band (like BG as well)
