Megadeth and Iron Maiden are two great bands with great cover art. Both have mascots, Megadeth's Vic and Maiden's Eddie, who are both skeleton/zombie-like creatures. But which one do you like better? My vote would have to go to Vic. He's more political and symbolic, and he looks pretty damn cool on his own. Don't get me wrong, I love Eddie, as he's definitely an icon of metal, but my vote goes to Vic.

the average person may believe that but the concept of vic was created before 1980 and that is before eddie existance was ever known by dave mustaine, i am sorry if i am wrong but by inking the chains from many interviews involving vic, that is my conclusion

but anyways i would have to say vic, just becuase he is always going to be a figure of great importance n my life

I prefer Vic better. He's a pretty nice concept, despite the skeletal appearance.

Vic is political and all, but Eddie is just way too iconic and recognizable. Almost like a figurehead for metal. A little biased because i love Iron Maiden, Megadeth also bein loved but not as much...

I like Vic, because he actually has some thought behind him with the whole "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil."

I'm gonna have to go with Eddie because even though Vic is totally a badass, Eddie is cool enough to have his own video game. Even though I never played it, that's ridiculous.

While Vic isnt bad, Eddie is iconic for me.

Man i was worried that vic was gonna be on top before voting, but im glad that (as always) Maiden comes out on top! Both mascots are really awesome Vic is edgy and has that whole "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" thing. But Eddie is just the shit I dunno what else to say.

I think that Vic is way cooler, but I also respect the old people. Still Vic is my kind of guy.

Eddie! He got me into metal, I don't know if I would have bought Brave New World when I was 12 years old if the 'Eddie-Cloud' hadn't been on the cover!
And anyway, he's almost a symbol for metal itself. Plus, I prefer the IM artworks to those of Megadeth.

EDDIE. the first time i saw an iron maiden album (i think it was number of the beast) i was sold. just because of that lovable zombie! UP THE IRONS

I might be wrong but, imo, some heavy metal mascots look like they are more or less copied on Eddie.
