I searched and found no Deicide topic here, so I had to make one...whats your favorite Deicide album, and why??
Mine is definetly Legion. It's my favorite Deicide album, one of my favorite DM albums, and one of my favorite albums period. I think it has the most vicious sound ever on a metal album. The Hoffman brothers did something here that sounds unlike anything else done before, and it hasn't been matched to this day. All the songs are just kick ass...Deicide at it's best for sure.
Their S/T, Serpents, and The Stench...are close behind in 2nd (especially their latest, I think it's their best in a long time) but nothing touches Legion for me.
What's your favorite??

I know only ''legion'' album, ebcause I had hear once it, in tape, werry long ago, others I never had hear other albums of this band, and I even dont remebe rthis, but still my vote goes for it

I really cannot decide on what my favorite Deicide album is. I really like Serpents of the Light, Legion, and Scars of the Crucifix but I can't vote yet. Maybe later I'll be able to decide. Legion probably would be my favorite, but that album has Glen's worst vocal performance. Serpents of the Light has more tracks that stand out and has great vocals, but I think those two albums are tied for my favorite.

Edit - Legion is definitely my favorite.

i rememebr this poll from before and i voted for their first album 'Deicide' in that
'Legion' is a very good album as well
the new album is very very good though in my opinion, so it wouldnt be totally wrong for me to vote for that
but seeing as it has just come up and its all new to me, i will stick with 'Deicide'
a very good and classic death metal album

So I finally made up my mind and voted for Legion. That album is just fun to listen to.

I love Deicide man...what a great band! My all time favorite album is Insineratehymn for obvious reasons...it's a bit more technical with some odd times and flows really well and from beginning to end it's just no-bullshit fuckin' metal from the first riff to the last...it's such a flawless album, but most Deicide albums are, especially Once Upon The Cross...

Well, I'm totally blown away by the newest The Stench Of Redemption. Maybe it's too melodic but it's a killer. Never was into Deicide's stuff that much, but now I'm gonna love 'em. Btw I was surprised that Steve Asheim is the mastermind of the band, that's cool...

I think it's Once upon the cross... listen to the titletrack, is destructive

I'm between ''Deicide'' and ''Legion''.These are their best albums imo,even though I prefer the vocals in ''Deicide''.

without second thought i voted "stench"cause of the music and especially the kick-ass solos
maybe the Hoffmans should have gone much earlier

yeh, the brothers leaving has strengthened the band, but they were picking themselves up anyway werent they - 'Scars Of The Crucifx' is a fantastic album compared to the one before it
i really enjoy that album as well. the new one is better though

I would pick When Satan Lives cause i have it, but its not on the list, but from the list ill say Once Upon The Cross. Its a great album, ones of their first my favorite for sure by them.

I chose 'the stench of redemption' although I like mosst of the deicide albums, simply because I found difficult to vote because I like most of them.

P.S. I've just notuiced that no one has chosen their 'insineratehymn' and 'in torment in hell'... this is because they aren't good at all... I forgot to mention that.

The Stench Of Redemption definitely is Deicide's best album, but I enjoy all the other albums too, except Insinerathymn and In Torment In Hell. "The Stench Of Redemption" is just a great comeback, after a few shitty albums (not counting "Scars Of The Cruzifix").

Deicide's self-titled is a no-brainer for me. Legion is also very good, but the albums following are certainly touch-and-go. Haven't heard Stench of Redemption though.

all the albums are good, but the last one is my chosen one. coz my favourite guitar-player jack owen is the guitarist ...
but i like other albums' songs. like CHILD OF GOD, SCARS OF THE CRUSIFIX, BIBLE BASHER, WHEN SATAN RULES HIS WORLD and so on ...

The self titled is amazing, dead at dawn and oblivious to evil are amazing songs. I think Legion would be my pick, now that a hell of an album the raw sound and the chaotic riffs contribute to just that. Erm, other than that, I would say that Stench of redemption is their most mature and strongest effort, but the self titled gets me pick

The Stench of Redemtion's guitar work is worth mentioning.

Only heard Legion and Stench or Redemption, both are wicked good, but I just like the melodic elements in Stench of Redemption. Probably like it more because I love Melodic Death Metal lol.

Makes sense, Stench got alot of hype, because of the lineup and all.

Legion is an all time classic album for me.
