i was watching metal: a headbangers journey and they were talking about the wacken festival and how its 4 days long... i wonder how is this festival? very exhilirating? also a shitload of people there...people waking up with hangovers and stuff lol

Wouldn't it be nice to go to a Wacken festival eh...there's actually this German dude in my apartment that I met and I'm going to Wacken with him in 2007! I can't wait!

Hell yeah, I was at Wacken Open Air 2006, and they were the best 3 days of my life. Bring it on Wacken 2007! (Provided I have around $4000 saved by next July)

Been there twice (2005 and 2006) . It's fucking awesome , lots of beer , good music , party 24/24 . And most of all , there are metalhead everywhere , willing to share their beer or their story with you . IF you can go , do it , it's an experience you have to live as a metalhead

I will propably go there 2007, can't wait...

I was supposed to go there this year, but I got other things to do. I do not regret it, because I do not like most of the bands that played there. I will go there probably iin the future.

I'm definitely going next year, the lineup already looks brill!

Fingers crossed that I shall be there for 07. There are so many 'rare' bands there that don't visit the UK. Far superior lineup than last year IMO.

I've been to Wacken many many times ... in my dreams , but someday ... I'll be there for real

I was there this year 2006. Fucking amazing some of the best days of my life, great people everywhere, beer, great bands, did I mention great people exactly EVERYWHERE? oh and did I mention all the amazing people I met? And ofcourse Emperor.......... Oh yessssss

Im without doubt going to wacken 2007, cant wait to see Immortal. Hopefully I can watch Die Apokalyptischen Reiter this year, last year they was playing at the same time as Emperor :/

How much money do you usually spend there (tickets, beer, shirts and others stuff)?
I'd like to know whether can i afford it or not.

Well tickets are 99 ? (including camping parking and stuff) , a liter of beer cost 7,50 ? (10?50 the first time , after that you return the glass) . Pizza and various food are like 3? , 4 ? but you can bring your own food and beverage . Tshirt are 20 ? each at the official stand and sometimes less at the metal market . I'd say about 300 ? partying and buying a few shirts , without the journey . You can live with 200 ? imo but you'll have to limit yourself on the shirts

I lived great with the 170 ? I brought. Bought 3 shirts 3 cds and beer + food. But as you might have understood I didnt buy as much beer as everyone else ^^. Next year the shirt money goes to beer !

It's at the festival area and it's somewhat good quality german beer, so it's not that expensive . In France , beer at concert are like 4 ? for 33cl . And I'm talking shit beer . But you can bring a case or two with you , no limitation of drinks at the camping area
