Goatwhore - Announce Tour With High On Fire, Release New Video


Black/death metallers Goatwhore have announced tons of news today. The band will return to the road this Fall in support of High On Fire on a North American tour in November/December that will feature Lo Pan, Primate (Kevin Sharp of Brutal Truth, Bill Kelliher of Mastodon and more) on select dates in November and Corrosion Of Conformity on select dates in December. The entire list of confirmed dates can be seen below.

Additionally, a brand new video for the song "Death To The Architects Of Heaven" from Goatwhore's latest album Blood For The Master is also streaming online and you can watch it below. The video features the lyrics from the song, as well as live footage of the band The Summer Slaughter Tour 2012.

In other Goatwhore news, the song "Diabolical Submergence Of Rebirth" from the A Haunting Curse album, will be heard in the upcoming season of HBO's Treme. The third season of the critically acclaimed show will begin airing on September 23rd. The song will appear in episode #7, which is currently scheduled to air on November 4th. Bringing metal to the masses.

Typical North American tour with only a few canadian dates, oh well, saw them a few years ago opening for Shadows Fall, they weren't really that interesting live. Would love to see HoF though.

I don't know why but the first time I read one of Goatwhore's songs was going to be featured on HBO's Treme (good series, btw), I coudn't help but laugh. I found it abit weird. But after doing a quick search, I have discovered that the band members are actually New Orleans natives. Treme is set in New Orleans. Guess that makes sense. Will look out for the song on the 3rd season.
