"My Wall" is an incredible, epic track. This probably deserves more than the 7 rating I'm giving it, but for some reason I can't bring myself to rate it any higher, because it's not, strictly speaking, as musically interesting as many other things I've heard. Still, I love the soundscapes and atmospheres that Sunn creates. Definitely unique. At the very least, this deserves a higher 7, like 7.4 or something (as opposed to a 6.5 [a low 7] which would round up to 7).

EDIT: okay, so I've decided that My Wall is so fucking awesome that it warrants an 8 rating all by itself.

EDIT #2: Fuck it, this album is awesome and hypnotizing, and my favorite Sunn album. I'm bumping it up to 9.

Pretty interesting to see how my opinion on this band changed over time. White2 beats this album out, but not by too much. Seems that, after finally "getting" Sunn O))), I've recognized these albums to be the masterpieces they are in terms of soundscapes, textures, and sonic experimentation. Truly brilliant in the most unexpected of ways.
