After ProgPower Europe and ProgPower USA, the first South American edition of the prog/power metal festival is happening and it will put together 16 bands spread out over two days, hosting special feature artists from South America and Chile but there will be bands from Europe and USA as well.
The festival will take place at the Caupolican Theatre in Santiago, Chile from August 17-18, 2013.
The organization, booking and overall logistics of ProgPower South America is independent from the other festivals. Both Glenn Harveston (ProgPower USA) and René Janssen (ProgPower Europe) have given the green light to the event and the authorization to utilize the name, but are in no way directly involved in the South American edition of the festival.
Bands confirmed so far for the festival are as follows:
Dragonland (Sweden)
Hibria (Brazil)
Delta (Chile)
Hangar (Brazil)
Husar (Chile)
SteelRage (Chile)
Crisalida (Chile)
The organizers promise that this is just the beginning, many more names will join the line-up and there are a few surprises along the way. Stay tuned for new confirmations.
