Keep in mind, this is not a poll comparing the albums to each other in general. This poll is about Gene Hoglan's drumming, so try to cancel out all other elements in your mind other than his performance on each record. Strapping Young Lad's "Alien" is my personal favorite album to hear his drumming on, especially on the song "Skeksis".

Defenetly Death in the list but its not because of drums, because of all metal elements

Definitely Darkness Descends. That is a classic thrash album, one of the best.

didnt Gene do Testament-Demonic... better check that... yes yes he did... apparently Dark Roots as well...
Love both of these albums and Gene is very good on both of them.

And if I remember right, he did stuff for Dethklok as well.

Well, I'm going with his work on City. Fast and ferocious drumming on that album.

His drumming on Symbolic is impeccable. And I'll be the first to say it in this thread since it's mandatory. Gene Hoglan is a BEAST.

But seriously, the possessive case a.k.a. genitive in Polish works quite differently, and for a Polish brain it's very easy to make such an association.

As funny as it may sound, I think I can sometimes. When I'm reading a book in English, someone speaking Polish next to me will not distract me. But if they spoke English, I'd have difficulty reading.

I love the fact several responders have disregard the criteria the OP laid out in the initial post.
