Well, Mr. Ghost, I would give your collection a 5. Some good stuff, but also stuff I don't like at all. But it's a question of taste, isn't it? If someone else rated yours, it might be a different rating

I'll give Toxx a 7.
Too little death for my taste but the bands and albums that are there are overall good.
A lot of black metal classics, some thrash classics (with Nekromantheon as a nice surprise) and some nice vinyls.
The only albums that I really don't like are the alternative's and the nu's, the Korpiklaani one and Wongraven-Fjelltronen.
That's 10% of your collection I really don't like, another 10% that's very average and the lack of death metal makes a 7.
But as you said: it's all about taste.

You need to explore thrash, heavy(great scope and vast pool of terrific talent) and Sludge.

Well, there is a lot of heavy/trash stuff in your collection, and unfortunately those are my least favourite styles. But you get a bonus point for that little death, so i would say 5/10

BoxCar - way too many AC/DC albums, but you've got some gems in there too. Sadly just a 3/10 for me. Maybe if you add all of your 400 albums...

Yeah, nobody can have way too many AC/DC albums.

^ I'd personally give Koen about 6/10, no offense though. He has some good stuff in there, but it leans a bit too much towards death and black metal bands I don't really care much about. That's just my opinion though.

Torn. decent collection. props for Depeche Mode and Echo and the Bunnymen... but Coldplay? oh my.

Will go 6.5. Definite promise - both in metal and non-metal. variety is good, well, aside from Coldplay.

I would give you something between 6.5 and 7, especially thanks for having some Carach Angren and Septicflesh. You had quite a lot of bands I haven't heard, and some of them I think I might enjoy, though I'm not really that big on thrash.

I will probably get a low number as of what I've seen of here on MS, but hey, it's just a fun thing this

Well, build up the collection and listen some good stuff.

Seeing "Between The Buried And Me - The Parallax II: Future Sequence" as 9 was gut bleeding btw.

Cynic very solid 8 from me ...only listen to half or so of your stuff but it's all good.
collection really means nothing as i could explore the musical world having good and bad albums in my collection...anyways go ahead!!

Haha, I used to listen to power metal, these days are over but they are still in my collection, it's a part of my musical road. Parallax II friggin owns!

@ Coolingsrock, friggin huge collection! And I find it very hard to rate. You got some stuffs I just can't stand at all (Attack Attack and such) but you also have some really awesome stuffs (Opeth, Gojira etc). Just because you got stuffs I absolutely hate AND absolutely love I'll meet you halfway and give your collection a 5

Nice collection. Great to see you have an equal loads of good albums defying in every genre. Although, you're more of post metal dude who recommend some good stuffs from bandcamp but seeing your collection looks like you gotta great taste in Metal.

Especially Ne Obliviscaris is a favourite of mine, and I think you might like Taranis if you like those two you mentioned.

And a physical collection, expecially mine, doesn't show all the stuff one enjoy. Yes, I might enjoy plenty of core bands, but the last 2-3 years I've been expanding into death, black, doom and a few other genres, which I'm really happy I did, because I've discovered a great deal of incredible bands. It's been pretty hard to decide my top 10 albums

I was a bit surprised when I saw you had some core in your collection. Not that one shouldn't have it, but I don't see it that often here on MS, so a plus for that. And when I encountered the name "Rumpelstiltskin Grinder" I pictured the same fairytale creature grinding his genitals on a persian carpet
A big plus for Septicflesh and having my favourite album of Bloodbath, and you had plenty of bands I enjoy listening to myself. But, as I've stated in earlier posts, I'm not that big on thrash.
