Progenie Terrestre Pura - Announce New EP
Progenie Terrestre Pura fans rejoice because the atmospheric black metal duo has announced through their Facebook page a new EP entitled Asteroidi to be released digitally on the 15th of October, 2014. The EP is totally electronic/ambient. Listen to the first sounds right here.
The band explains: "Hi progenies, yes: we are here. Asteroidi. This new 'special' digital EP is something a little bit different for us, basically because it's totally electronic/ambient. But don't worry people, it's 100% made in q[T]p. This is a journey in space floating between stars, asteroids and comets, a long 'enter/exit' in our solar system. Relax your spaceship and think about our world, above our world, mankind or whatever you want: it's a long journey. People come and go anyway; it would be nice through the space."

Total length: 25 minutes.
Asteroidi was recorded and mixed at q[T]p Studios, mastered at 322-Studio. Inside the .rar/pack EP there will be the real/special cover, an exclusive animation/.gif created by Alexander Preuss.

Looking forward to this. If they take a darker approach than on the full length I think that would be awesome. The last album was good, but a bit too uplifting for the style.

First of all, it's not as if going strictly ambient makes them bad, it was those sounds that really made the band in the first place. Could you imagine U.M.A. without all those ringy ding ding Metroid-esque keyboards and effects? I sure can't. Also, who's to say they won't go back to a more metal-based sound after this EP?

Also... if the whole EP is 25 minutes and this one track they're giving us is like 3, that means the other one is gonna be a giant, 20+ monster. I am looking forward to this

I really hope the band doesn't stay off metal, as U.M.A. definitely had room for improvements. Will give this EP a listen as soon as its out.

U.M.A. was one of the best 2013 records without a doubt. Not sure what I'll think of this one, but I'm definitely going to check it out. Now I'm expecting some news from Ixion... I've waited long enough for that.
