Perhaps it was inevitable. Both bands are major psychedelic innovators. Both of them were selected to play at Roadburn Festival in 2012. And both of them heavily promoted each other's most recent albums. Now, this level of brotherhood between Oranssi Pazuzu and Dark Buddha Rising has reached a new level, with a full blown collaborative project spawning in the form of Atomikylä. Strap on your oxygen tanks, comrades, for this is one that can wreck even the most seasoned of psychonauts if they're not careful.

Hey so this is the best psych album I've heard in a long-ass time.
Edit: I've listened to it three times and I only acquired it like four hours ago.

This album is the fucking tits, I concur with Dima's pic.

I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the circle. “Come unto me” is a foolish word: for it is I that go.

Listened to two songs on soundcloud. I love it more than OP but it's not something that makes me wet in my private parts. I can see the appeal of it to others, though.

Kreepee Peekture

Gotta say I like that a lot. Would make a nice Facebook banner picture (dimensions are probably off a bit though)

As for the album I like it, but I don't think I love it. I guess I was expecting to be swept away in a sea of lysergy, but I never felt at the risk of falling off the precipice at any point. It never exploded into mind-bending acute angles like it does on Occult Rock, I was never totally submersed liked I was on Silhouette In Splinters and I didn't get lost like I did on Orange Canyon Mind or IIIrd Gatekeeper. Other times it felt a bit too much like Electric Wizard but without any pay-off after their immense build ups. I can't really help but compare to those bands as I guess throughout this I felt like I wanted to go and listen to them. 'Musta Kulta' was pretty close to what I was looking for though: it had that tangible elevation and crescendo and felt like things were getting pushed to 11 at points. Generally though it's high quality stuff, just stuck in the middle of what a lot of other bands do that I happen to like more (sorry Alex!).

So yeah, for future records I'd like to see less noodling around on the first and second plateau: take me to the third and fourth in a quicker, more frequent, violent and intense manner.
