It's 2015, and there's a lot more to the music world than metal. Post any albums of quality outside of the realms of metal in this thread. Here are a few to get started (Esbe and Sixfingerz)

New Prurient album incoming! (on Profound Lord which I totally forgot about). Sounds like it might be more of his amazing progressive electronic stuff. I'm excited.

I've been pretty much playing it nonstop since he posted it on FB! I think it's my favorite from his work.

Great stuff, thanks!

As for the song "Alone", I kept repeating it over and over again...

I like the Bjork-y stuff going on there thanks for the recommendation man.

I like the Bjork-y stuff

There's actually a new Bjork album out if you didn't know. I'd post links but her videos don't last long on Youtube before they get yanked. One of the best things I've heard this year.

The new Susanne Sundfor is the only album I've heard this year; it's just out. I only found the two singles on YouTube. They are more beat-driven retro hipster dance music than her previous dark, neoclassical electronic stuff, but there are better songs on the album too. First impressions, though, are that it's sadly not as good as The Silicone Veil or The Brothel:

I also have mixed feelings about this album. probably not as good as the first two but it is growing on me. For instance Delirious, which I disliked at first, is now among the most-played songs on my PC.

I also enjoy the new Snow Ghosts a lot. The Wrecking is due out on February 16th. Art Pop/ Trip Hop

I feel the same about the new Susanne Sundfor, was not impressed with the two singles ... haven't really given the album a lot of attention with all the catching up I have to do with the awards and all.

ISON, a Post-Rock/Drone collab between Daniel Änghede from Crippled black phoenix and Hieke from Draconian. Loving this first demo.

Yes, it's definitely grown on me. But then, I have been a rabid fanboy ever since I first heard The Brothel in 2010. The lyrics "I love the pain/I love the game/come into my arms/come into my arms" on Delirious make me cringe every time, though. And it isn't a standout moment for her voice, either.

Overall it reminds me a lot of many throwback electro and dance bands out there right now. I thought of Röyksopp and M83 when I was listening, and only now I remember that she actually featured on songs by both artists recently. Doubtless the experience influenced her. And there's that certain groovy bassline on Fade Away that reminds me of Todd Terje. Bleh, all those artists are decent but Susanne had her own unique style. Overall, it's too beat-focused for my tastes

But there are some great songs. Slowly is really catchy and has a great vocal melody. My favorite atm.

Another of those 70's occult rock with female vocals. Interesting fact is that Christofer Johnsson writes and produces the material, and explains how Therion could have become something like this rather than the symphonic direction they took in the 90's.

The song is rather good, I get big Year Of The Goat vibes!

Brand new non-metal act, featuring the members of Blindead, from Tricity, Poland. Luna's voice is simply outstanding here...

New Purity Ring is soothing as always. I think his one is even better than the first. I kinda miss the autotunes but instrumentally it's less minimal and hence better =P

I don't have a link though. But interested and resourceful fans won't find a problem with it

You can go look it up yourselves, but I just noticed Föllakzoid have a new LP out. Really good krautrock/space rock. Kinda like a less creepy Aluk Todolo.

Also, the first Mew album in 6 years, released at the end of this month. Can't wait.

New Death Grips album is such a mindfuck. Totally different from their early stuff I think, in a good way of course.
