Dat growls at the end.

Yeah they're quite something. Good to see Opeth giving the fans what they want.

A really beautiful ballad. I have my hopes up as it is every time when a new Opeth record is about to be released. After listening to the title track, it has grown on me, and now I can appreciate it. This song, on the other hand, has managed to convince me right after the first listen.

What a shame to see such a waste of talent! Don't get me wrong, I love Prog Rock... but nothing new in this! just "recycling" the same old ideas!

You have to play the song in reverse to get the growls. Very cleverly written track.

I liked the title track for Sorceress quite a bit, but i'm not that big of a fan of this song, the solo is pretty sweet, but overall the song is pretty dull.

You can only hear the growls if you can hear the correct frequencies. Quite possibly you can longer hear them because of listening to loud music, being at loud gigs, etc.

Yeah they should've definitely added a few growls here and there to satisfy their crowd, now all they'll get is hate

Sounds like any other soft Opeth song, I guess. Just not as memorable. The solo was pretty sweet, though.

It kind off reminds me a little bit of "Harvest". But just a little bit...

Anyway, judging by the two songs that were released so far, we got ourselves here another prog rock álbum, 70´s style. Heritage is decent, Pale Communion is better, but has it´s boring moments aswell. This one so far, it´s going on the same track i guess...

It´s interesting music, don´t get me wrong, but Opeth is more than this. It´s becoming too boring and predictable. It´s almost another band.

Having listened to most of the prog the '70s had to offer I am pretty happy to accept anything new in that style

Vocals were sweet, but I'll be damned if they didn't write this for the lols. There's almost no creativity.

It's pleasant, got a big Jethro Tull vibe. I guess one of the main problems with new Opeth is that after being genre leaders and innovators for a lot of their career, they've suddenly turned into followers. It's entirely possible to write modern prog rock that distinguishes itself from the 70s heritage (Steven Wilson comes to mind), but pretty much everything they've done of the past couple of albums sounds very much like a tribute to a previous time rather than a unique, distinctive spin on the sound.

Still, I'd probably say this is my favourite post-Watershed song thus far, bar maybe Eternal Rains Will Come.

It's a nice track. I guess I feel about this like I did with many songs on Heritage and Pale Communion. It has good songs and all but I'll listen to it and forget about it quickly. And just go on and listen to better things.

As a big fan of Opeth, this is what they have to offer right now and it's not very exciting.

Opeth as a metal band is in my top 3. As a prog rock band...I can say that i listened to "Thank You Scientist"'s last record and that is prog rock better than everything post Heritage combined.

A nice acoustic song that will serve as an interlude between 2 other songs. I don't expect Opeth to top Still Life or Blackwater Park, so I can enjoy some of their new music without prejudice. I wasn't blown away by this song, but it was quite ok.
