They still sound fresh because not too many bands copied their style, I think. Only Ad Nauseam, Nero Di Marte and this year's Départe comes to my mind.

Setentia sound like they're going to do a pretty good job of Ulcerate's style. In fact so far I prefer their tracks to Ulcerate's ones from this that I've heard.

Non of these bands offers the destructive glory of ulcerate, though. In fact it is nice that ulceratian metal is diverse.

Like a less intense version of Ulcerate, and quite diverse in song approach.

I guess! but that was more of a rhetoric question than an actual one since I think there's nothing you can really copy from Ulcerate, the song structure is loose and complex and you can only try to copy the feeling that their music conveys rather than the actual song writing aspect of it.
I know this is might sound weird, but i guess trying to emulate Ulcerate is like trying to copy Drone!

Haha, true

Those bands I've mentioned did a pretty well job if you ask me. Go check them out if you haven't already. However, you can steal their riffs but Jamie's wall of sound is truly one of a kind...

Haha, Setentia shared this funny article on their fb page

In this competition, I still prefer Ulcerate by a small margin.
