Manowar - Announce Release Of 'The Final Battle I' EP
Manowar have finally confirmed the impending release of The Final Battle I, an EP comprised of eagerly awaited brand new material. Fans will first get their chance to own this initial installment in a trilogy of EPs in an exclusive pre-sale at the merchandise booth of the band's "The Final Battle World Tour 2019", starting with their show in Frankfurt, Germany on March 29th and on all further dates of this tour leg. It will also be available digitally on iTunes worldwide at the same date and the roll out will then continue into retail and online stores on May 30th and digitally on Amazon and Google Play.
The Final Battle I comes with new artwork by iconic fantasy artist Ken Kelly. "The sheer power of these four songs is mind-blowing! We simply couldn't release more songs at one time; it's just too much!" says Joey DeMaio about the EP. "We want to give our fans the chance to take in every note, every word. Gain more strength from this experience and then be ready for the battles they fight every day. And join us on the road, on The Final Battle!"

Well I'm so disappointed I don't even know where to start. I had been relentlessly defending Manowar everywhere when people laugh at their image, lyrics, and comments until Gods of War Album which was total crap and every other new album has been a pile of shit that falls on top of each other. Every song sounds same and I'd gladly appreciate it if they did sound similar to songs in Hail to England or Kings of Metal! It's sad to see what might Manowar has become. After the departure of Ross Friedman Manowar could not produce any songs even close the quality of the classic era. Manowar is Joey's grinding machine and he smashes everyone in his path. Everybody who plays or works for Manowar is fed up with him. If you don't listen to Joey you are not his friend. His ego is greater than himself and he let all the old fans down. I was devastated when I heard them decided to call it a day but now I see there is a good reason behind it simply Joey can't compose songs anymore. He just thinks he can...

The first song (March of the Heroes into the Valhalla) is a classic Joey composition that sounds like any other recent instrumental Manowar song. The sound is Nothing like Manowar or even metal. It's like out of a soundtrack of a movie. If you like Manowar albums starting from Gods of War and beyond you will like it. Sword of the Highlands is the second and only somewhat good song on the EP. I only kind of enjoyed listening to it. It's a powerful ballad with good Eric vocals on it however the problem is when you hear it you feel like you listened to it before. You shall Die Before I die is the pinnacle of Joe's Ego because finally, he did the vocals himself!! Yes with using a bunch of vocal effects he finally bypassed Eric and, congrats to Joey, become the one and only MANOWAR! Blood and Steel is a typical new Manowar era song. I seriously think Joey uses the same samples that he has on his collection on this EP because this sounds exactly the same as any other Manowar song on Gods of war or Lord of Steel. I don't want to go into the lyrics, well a few words describe em all war, kill, die, sword, blood, steel....
