Shearer is complaining about lack of energy but those players got 60+ games in their legs. Premier league, domestic cups, Euro cup and national team. It works out a game every 3-4 days
01. Worship 02. Chemical Whore 03. Greedy Bastards 04. Dead World 05. We're The Walking Dead 06. Brotherhood Of The Serpent 07. Children Of The Gray 08. Another Day 09. They Will Arrive 10. Bug In The Net 11. Gods Of The Underground
Dont know. Chemical Whore was almost a anti-vax song. And recently Peter somehow defended Dan Bongino, an anti-mask and anti-vaxer, on Facebook. Im feeling like i lost my childhood hero.
Dan Bongino isn't anti vax, he's just pro freedom of choice. He's vaxxed himself. Chemical Whore was purely anti Big Pharma, which if you aren't, you need to open your eyes.
Besides, Hypocrisy (Peter specifically), has always been about questioning authority, Government, etc. Not everything is a conspiracy, but Big Pharma, Organized Religion, and Government have proven themselves dishonest enough that we should investigate what we're being fed.
I am/was bit dubious about this album. I am not big fan of Peters work after the Hypocrisy album. Those albums that came after, could not exist for me. Hypocrisy music was with me since their first album and until stuff after the Hypocrisy I always considered them my favourite band
Time heals they say. I'm not sure what happened there: is it me finally matured (it's right about time, I am almost 50...) or Mr Peter and rest of the band decided to take another turn. Currently I'm halfway through the album and I like it. Its good. Still falls slightly short of two best albums of this year: Massacre and 1914
It's a fantastic album. Many great songs (Greedy Bastards, We're The Walking Dead, Children Of The Gray, Another Day, Bug In The Net or Gods Of The Underground). They are melodic, catchy, some of them are fucking wild and furious. The rest is very solid too.
Overall I can wait another 8 years for that quality Hypocrisy CD.
Yet, another amazing Hyposcrisy release. Very mature, consistent, heavy and melodic. We waited this long, but it was worth it, no doubt about it.
Highlights for me are: "Worship", "Greedy Bastards", "Brotherhood Of The Serpent", "Children of the Gray" (my favourite), "They Will Arrive" and "Gods Of The Underground"

Huge Hypocrisy fan here, I would've preffered that Peter kept those lyrics for a Pain song. It doesnt fit Hypocrisy at all but hey, the song is ok-ish !

Some cringy song titles. The 2 singles are okayish. Hope its good.
6 points for an amazing album like this??? I want to know your 10 points albums please.
Dude, opinions, that's it. My fav Hypocrisy albums are The Final Chapter and Virus. The new one just pales in comparison. In my opinion of course. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
As for my 10s, just go see them, they're no Deep State secret lol
P.S. 6 in my book is literally average, not bad. It has a couple of cool tunes and a lot of middle of the road stuff.
Mostly i give 6 and 7.

With final chapter and virus being my favorite albums from hypocrisy, this album just fails to capture me. Honestly everything after virus just disappoints me . :/
All those 9s and 10s and the average score really baffle me. How would you rate the real highlights of Hypocrisy's career if you dole out your 10 stars here? Or do some people actually believe that this is not the very definition of mediocrity but a true masterpiece? This is quite beyond me...
Anyhow, I just can't remember hearing anything so uninspired and bland from them since Catch 22. 50 minutes of the same old riffs and recycled vocal lines forced into a worn out lyrical theme from 25 years ago is clearly too little of substance to please the old Hypocrisy fan in me.

So common sense view points aren't allowed? Sounds about right.

Pretty good, Hypocrisy rarely disappoints though! I wouldn't go as far as saying the album is perfect though. It does feel like there are a lot of recycled ideas in some songs but its been so long since the last record that I don't think that's such a bad thing. Feels a bit nostalgic to listen to the band again! I'm a bit hit or miss on the songs though, the highs hit hard but the lows drag the album down a bit. Dead World is my favorite by a wide margin, but I find myself skipping Worship and They Will Arrive often.
As for the controversial track, I'm personally not hearing anything anti-vax in Chemical Whore - he even specifically mentions swallowing pills throughout the entire song. Not only are vaccines not in pill form they are also free (COVID ones anyway) which again, goes against the lyrical content. It sounds more like anti-depressants and painkillers are the specific drugs being referenced to me.
My Top Tracks: Dead World, Chemical Whore, Children of the Gray, Gods of the Underground

He claims masks don't work despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary and the whole "freedom of choice" approach he favors is one of personal freedom over the freedom of others. That's a very elitist definition of freedom in direct violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and also not covered by the first amendment.
He is also open about trying to construct a political career based on diversion and the culture war narrative.
It's at least understandable why jumping to the defense of such a person raises eyebrows among fans.
