Metal Diogenes
This is the first ever heavy metal album released in Finland. It sounds like a prog band who have just casually listened to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath but haven't really figured out the thing yet, so it's not the kind of approach you would expect. In fact Esa Kotilainen was one of the leading keyboard players in Finland back in the day, around this time the man had already recorded albums with classic prog and jazz rock acts like Wigwam and Tasavallan Presidentti, so it's not your typical metalheads playing this stuff.

To put it nicely, Cycle Of Life is a very odd "metal" album, but at least it's very unique and different. There weren't many people who knew how to make this stuff or anyone who got the right equipment anyway, so what do you expect.
