@no one: looking through your fav bands list Opeth doesn´t seem to be the right band for you but they are said to always put on a great show so it wouldn´t be unwise to consider seeing them
01. Death-Drive Projections 02. The Fear (Interlude) 03. B22: The Hive And The Hole 04. The Pain (Interlude) 05. Bonfire Of The Insanities 06. The Fury (Interlude) 07. The Far Bank At The River Styx 08. Enantiodromia (Interlude) 09. Tabula Rasa
Music isn’t the art form most suited to sequels, so it may not have much competition, but Panzerfaust’s The Suns Of Perdition must be among the best metal album trilogies ever.
They released this on bandcamp a few minutes ago. Sounds like straight post-metal so far (3 tracks in). Almost like a copy and paste of an Isis or Rosetta album.
I wouldn't say it is really too similar to Isis or Rosseta. However, it is true that it has more post-metallic softness to it and lacks the intensity of the previous records.
I really enjoyed it, but, as a whole, it comes a bit short after too virtually perfect albums.
I imagine the Isis/Rosetta C+P comment is slightly hyperbolic, as I think there's a sizeable gap between 'black-heavy post-metal' and what those bands do. Still, this is clearly a big step away from post-y black metal to blackened post-metal; I think it sounds pretty great, but it's entirely possible some will find that it loses a touch of the magic that Chapters I and II had
F**king love this band.
All their music giving me apocalyptic vibes like falling into endless abyss of pure chaos.
Something like the vibes from Deathspell Omega or Ulcerate.
One of the best black metal bands around atm, their sound and style is definitely up there with Mgła and Blut Aus Nord imo. The atmosphere they bring is something truly special, even the instrumental interludes are stunning, I would say this is one of the most impressive black metal release so far this year.
"The Far Bank at the River Styx", "Bonfire of the Insanities", and "Bonfire of the Insanities" are the main highlights for me in that order.
This band is complete absurdity, no sound, no idea of music, a complete continuous chaos of sound, as if everything was recorded on interpretation at the moment. the same work as those vaunted lay people Cult of Luna.. Complete absurdity and some give it high marks?! a complete musical farce
Non-standard music if you want to hear this is the band, there is no such sound and performance

I was actually listening to Panzerfaust yesterday and thought that the last two tracks are very schammaschy.
Ugh heard a few tracks from Kardashev seems too sound almost like any other brutal death metal band with the death rours screams and everything else. The Atmospheric side helps it stand out a bit more but that's really it. I don't think what Kardashev is doing is anymore original then what this band does. Although the vocals and Atmospheric and schammascy sound in this is more interesting. It's not like we have a huge category of this stuff like Isis, Cult of Luna, and schammasch compared to the many deathcore and brutal death metal bands that have the same sound and growls and screams.
