In the old forum there was a thread dedicated to mention and discuss by giving your views about the bands' DVD releasing. Since the creator did not take the time in bringing it alive again and since I am very fond of buying DVDs from bands I decided to do it myself.

My collection, to this very same day, consists of the following DVDs:

1) Guns N' Roses - Use Your Illusion I (World Tour - 1992 Live In Tokyo)
2) Mötley Crüe - Lewd, Crüed & Tattooded
3) Slayer - War At The Warfield
4) Slayer - Still Reigning
5) Dream Theater - Live At Budokan
6) Black Sabbath - Never Say Die
7) Ozzy Osbourne - Live At Budokan
8) Cannibal Corpse - Monolith Of Death
9) AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip Live
10) Iron Maiden - Rock In Rio
11) Iron Maiden - The History Of, Part 1 The Early Days
12) Himsa - You've Seen Too Much
13) Metallica - Cunning Stunts
14) Sepultura - Chaos DVD
15) Soulfly - The Song Remains Insane
16) Ill Niño - Live From The Eye Of The Storm
17) Mudvayne - All Access To All Things
18) Cradle Of Filth - Heavy Left Handed & Candid
19) Cradle Of Filth - PanDaemonAeon
20) Cradle Of Filth - Peace Through Superior Firepower
21) Megadeth - Arsenal Of
22) Slipknot - Welcome To Our Neighborhood
23) Slipknot - Up To Our Necks
24) Slipknot - Disasterpieces
25) Lamb Of God - Killadelphia
26) Nightwish - End Of Innocence
27) Anthrax - Music Of Mass Destruction
28) Pantera - The Best Of, Far Beyond The Great Southern Cowboys Vulgar Hits

35) Metal Blade Records - Digital Video Destruction
36) Monsters Of Metal - The Metal Compilation
37) Monsters Of Metal - The Ultimate Metal Compilation Double DVD Vol. 2

Unoriginal copy:

38) Deep Purple - In Concert With The London Symphony Orchestra

Updates:

39) Moi Dix Mois - Scars Of Sabbath
40) Moi Dix Mois - Invite To Immorality
41) Arch Enemy - Live Apocalypse
42) Arcturus - Shipwrecked In Oslo
43) Emperor - Emperial Live Ceremony
44) Mayhem - European Legions Live At Marseille
45) Dimmu Borgir - World Misanthropy
46) In Flames - Used & Abused... In Live We Trust
47) Epica - We Will Take You With Us
48) Dissection - Rebirth Of Dissection
49) Metallica - The Videos 1989-2004
50) Children of Bodom - Chaos Ridden Years - Stockholm Knockout Live
51) Amon Amarth - Wrath of the Norsemen
52) Cannibal Corpse - Live Cannibalism
53) Metallica - Cliff 'Em All

I can say that all those DVDs I own are an enjoyment except for the DVD from Shadows Fall which was one of the greatest disappointments I have had in my life due to its lack of camera angles and sound quality. I also have some Dual Discs and bonus DVDs that come with albums but, since they are more like a bonus rather than an actual DVD, I decided to leave them behind for a fitting thread instead. Now, what do you have?

@malice05:

You too have all those DVDs from Slipknot? lol We are such maggots, don't we. I regret buying the unofficial biographic DVD which is "Up To Our Necks" since it cost me 20 dollars and it doesn't have a single song from them. :S

I tried to find that same first DVD of Mudvayne but I couldn't find it when I looked for it. I wanted it because most of the songs of the first full-length are there and that if my favorite album from them. Damn, I should have bought it that one time I had it in my hands.

@Warman:

I downloaded, some months ago, an interview of Metallica but I cannot tell if it is the interview for that "Some Kind of Monster" documentary. I have been told that Dave Mustaine appears talking in that interview and in mine he doesn't appear so it may not be it.

@Dream_of_Hate:

I see you too got ripped off with that DVD from Shadows Fall. :S I have been looking for that In Flames DVD too. I downloaded a live video from them but I don't know if it is from that DVD. The song is "Cloud Connected" and in it we have Anders wearing a t-shirt saying "Sellout"! lol Is that from that DVD?

@Conemetal:

Dammit, you beat me to it! I have been looking like crazy for that DVD of Metallica. The one with the better track listing between all the DVDs they have released. You also have the "Monsters of Death" compilation! It is the one that has the Decapitated video on it, doesn't it?

@VenoM_BM:

You cannot go to a store saying that you will find those DVDs there. You have some hard-to-find stuff there. Apart for the Rage DVD which I would swear I have seen previously.

@Mega-Slayer:

I cannot remember if it is the same one you mentioned there but a friend of mine is supposed to burn me a Pink Floyd DVD these days.

@Endoftherainbow:

I saw that Ozzfest DVD in some stores here but I just can't buy a DVD with such a variety of bands. It comes out that I can really enjoy too few bands from it so I did not buy it. That "Terror and Hubris" DVD is supposed to be a preview of the material found in the "Killadelphia" DVD, isn't it?

Yes, I did get ripped on the Shadows Fall DVD. I wish they would have put more "behind-the-scenes" material. As for the In Flames video, I don't think that's on the DVD...I'm pretty sure he doesn't wear a shirt like that...I'll watch again and see.

I don't have that many DVD's mainly because I'd rather listen to music rather than watch it:

Maiden - Rock In Rio
Maiden - Visions Of The Beast
Sonata Arctica - For The Sake Of Revenge
Emperor - Emperial Live Ceremony

Just got the Emperor DVD today. Only watched Curse You All Men, and it's impressive. My only complaint is Ihsahn's image, he looks a retard bald with a bleached beard! Not very grim!

@ Darth Satanious Terror and Hubris has absolutly nothing in common with Killadelphia at all except for the fact it is a Lamb Of God DVD. Also the Ozzfest DVD is not the greatest I wouldn't have bought it either the only reason I own it is because I got it for Christmas.

I have also just recently acquired the Amon Amarth DVD so that's another one to add to my collection. I also plan to purchase the sounds of the underground DVD when it comes out on the 20th because it has Gwar, Strapping Young Lad, and Lamb Of God on it. The one problem I have with that DVD though is that for some reason Opeth is not on it and they were on that Sounds of the Underground tour.

I remember this one time when I was buying at this music store and the dude behind me was going to buy this same DVD. I, without hesitating and thinking about it, told him that that "The Art of Touring" was not worth the money, that it wasn't that good in visuals and sound quality. He decided to buy it anyway. What I realized after leaving the store was that I actually told him when he was paying and that I almost made the store have a loss there by taking shit about a DVD they were about to sell, all this in front of the cashier. lol

At the beginning of the video there are some kind of walls hiding the stage and when the song "Cloud Connected" starts to kick in, those walls are lifted and fireworks are set loose. If this is a video from the DVD I guess you will remember this part.

I have about 4 DVDs I think - two Nightwish and two Cradle Of Filth. None of which have been watched more than once. I've never been into live DVDs, I'll happily listen to a live album and enjoy it but DVDs bore me a little. No DVD will ever get close to a concert atmosphere and unless they have a huge stage production I don't see me gaining anything more from a DVD than a live CD which is normally cheaper. Documentarys again - good idea if you like it - but I'd rather just read their books / internet information (before anyone mentions its not just live shows lol)
