At times obstacles get in our way to do something as simple as assisting to the performances of those bands we love and adore can be. Obstacles like exams, work, parents, age, money, etc. which make us renounce to the opportunity of listening to great bands live. It has happened to me with a few bands (I say few bands because my country has not been graced with the visits of many bands), bands like Hatebreed, Six Feet Under, Soulfly, Megadeth, Iron Maiden (well, I wasn't even listening to Metal when they got here but I will blame my ignorance for missing them then lol), Judas Priest, among others.

Here you can share with your fellow metalstormers your sorrow, your frustration of missing those concerts. Do not forget to tell us why you missed them.

As for me, the last concert I missed was Dream Theater playing at our capital. Why did I miss these Progressive Metal deities? I had no way of getting into San Juan that night so I had to miss it.

I missed Tool few days ago in Belgrade cause I didn't have enough money for that adventure

Considering that Tool is the most boring band I've ever seen live, it's not bad you missed it, believe me lol

I missed seeing Turisas a couple of nights ago because I was just settling down back here in Lincoln, and also I had no way of getting back from the venue.
I'm not all that bothered, maybe I am just destined not to see them live - I was originally going to see them at Wacken but I chose Destruction over them, and now I miss them here as well. hahaha. oh well

I missed Obituary because I was broke and it was about 300 miles away. It would have been worth the drive if I could afford it. Oh well, maybe I'll see them next time around when Ralph Santolla isn't in the band.

He helped kill Deicide.

what kind of weird remark is this?

The latest Deicide album is the best they ever released. The Hoffman brothers were the worst thing to ever happen to Deicide IMO.
And the current problems with Deicide are due to Glenn's legal hassles with his wife (I think it's with his wife but not 100% sure) because of whcih he can't leave the coutnry atm.

I missed Horna, Vorkreist and Blacklodge on Monday because rain was pouring down, which was quite a problem considering that I don't have a car and the venue is a 30-minute walk from any bus stop or underground station. Besides, I'm already going to two shows this weeks (After Forever yesterday and Pro-Pain tomorrow) and I have a life

Mayhem - 29th of Sept.

No money. $60 is just way too much for me to spend on a concert. That is just fucking ridiculous. Plus I don't give a shit about the opening band 'Arallu' I wouldn't see them if someone paid me to. Actually, thats a lie. I hate the inflated ticket prices over here...

Whoa! You're right, that's expensive for Mayhem! I've only payed more than that for Iron Maiden and Metallica. Mostly a concert ticket here goes for around $45.

Yeah, see it would seem more reasonable if the price included another key band or something! I mean, Metallica and Iron Maiden are huge so over $60 isn't that unreasonable IMO. Its all good in da hood.

Lol theyre opening for mayhem? I remember listening to some of their mp3s a few years ago when I checked out my firs bm bands, they were relatively underground back then, how big are they nowadays? I wouldnt know since i don't really listen to Bm or follow the scene.

Did you know that they are also from the Jerusalem area? I actually dont follow local BM either that much tbh, Im not sure if most of the people going there knew Arallu either...but I think they are still pretty underground or just unpopular, who knows Nice Avatar!
