In New Zealand it actually is legal in brothels, for the reasons you describe. When Meshuggah came here their afterparty was in a brothel. It does not stop street workers though - see them around all the time (well not all the time but around).

I agree with TheBIgRossowski, I honestly think that porn does psychological damage. It is addictive. It is also very accessable, and a lot easier than picking up chicks. It does influence how I think about people - just stray thoughts from my uncontrollabel side. I don't think it does society a whole lot of good. And its seen as so normal as well.
