I've already seen a bunch of 2015 releases being announced, and even streaming in full in some locations, so I figured I'd go ahead and create a place for those releases to be posted. To start we'll have the new Swamp Witch album The Slithering Bog. It's a sludge filled doom album that simply slays, and is streaming in its' entirety on the Swamp Witch bandcamp page. The official release date (for the physical versions) is February 20th, 2015.

Atmosphere reminds me a bit of Desolate Shrine.

Way better than DS, imo.

Stalking the Voidhanger FB and found out that we get these two albums in a few months. The first is an EP from Howls of Ebb (which released a really good album last year) and the second is the successor project to Borgia (which is also really good) called Absconditus. Both are coming out on June 8th and I'm a lot more excited for these (I was a tad disappointed by the last batch).

Howls of Ebb - The Marrow Veil EP

Absconditus - Kατάβασις

Belgium's Bathsheba release a fantastic doom metal song from their upcoming EP. Just what tigers like the most: great female vocals and crunchy riffs.

Alright so this is for fans of those who prefer something a bit OTT, but still focused and all out solid in regards to avant-garde metal, progressive rock and art rock.
They also have one of the most incredible singers I've ever heard and an amazing overall melodic sound.

This is probably the most accessible track on the album, but it also kicks up some energy towards the end.

As for why it's a live version... well, they only have live versions up. But as I'm sure you'll realise after viewing, these guys can perform live just as well, if not better, than in studio.

Yeah, Courtney Swain is just a goddess. But the thing I also like about these guys is that even when they have such a force on their side, you can still tell that every single of the band is still bringing their own sound to the collective. I've seen way too many bands where they realise they have a strong force as part of the band, and just make it all about them while the rest of the band is just 'meh'...

Also just as a side note, this album has one of the best ending tracks ever, in that you'd never expect how one thing follows another.

(would recommend watching all the way through, because it's just the progression on this that works so well)
