These two albums have one thing in common: they're albums of metal legends that at that time started over with a new vocalists - that is Blaze and Ripper Owens. But which one do you enjoy more?
My answer is The X Factor.

My vote goes for The X Factor because I'm like K7. I have always liked Maiden more than Priest, because of the longer and more epic song structures. I do like Priest though.

come on!!
'Jugulator'!!!!!
its the only album i have done a review for on this site so far..
i think a lot of this album, the first with Tim Owens, etc. and the band still pushes it and doesnt just give in and write simple songs
'Jugulator' is a really really good album and i wish people would listen to it a couple of times before always saying how bad it is, etc. as they may have a different view if they listened to it with an open mind
Blaze's vocals never really suited Iron Maiden i dont think, im not a big fan of him on them two albums

"Jugulator" for me. Although it's not a typical Priest album and although you can consider me as a fan of the other albums this is (IMO) the best Priest ever did.... Dark US style power metal, awesome!

i voted jugulator, because the x factor is almost boring, a tad to complex for me while jugulator really kicks your ass with it's sheer heaviness and brutal songs like bullet train or burn in hell(especially burn in hell)
one of the few polls in which iron maiden can't win

I also vote for Jugulator. Blaze just isn't as good as Ripper.

Hey marillion, great poll idea. Another similarity is they're among the most generally disliked albums from the bands' respective discographies.
I think I would vote for X Factor but I haven't heard Jugulator. Priest albums seem quite inconsistent to me and the tracks I have from Maiden's one are really really good.

i am a huge fan of both bands, but the deciding factor was the fact that i hate blaze's vocals, whereas i actually enjoy owens. there are some decent songs on the x factor, but they all would sound better with bruce at the helm. i think jugulator is a pretty heavy album and decent overall. i actually wasn't disapointed. owens has enrgy, whereas blaze has about as much spunk as al gore.

I voted for X-Factor, it is the worst Iron Maiden album for me but it is still better than Jugulator, I don't really like that album. X-Factor had some good songs like Man On The Edge or The Sign Of The Cross. It is not album from the best Iron Maiden tradition but there are still many good and especially on this release very much progg parts. It is just better, there are few bright moments on Jugulator too but X-Factor gets my vote

Love both bands, although The X Factor isn't Maiden's best but it is still far better than Jugulator, with classics such as the sign of the cross, lord of the flies, while Jugulator is below Judas Priest standards and I think it is their worst album:maniac:

The X Factor definitely, a lot of kick ass songs, such as Sign of the Cross, Look for the Truth, The Aftermath, and Judgement of Heaven among others. I didn't really care for Jugulator all that much.
I actually used to be one of the immature Maiden fanboys bashing Bayley and anything he touched in Maiden. However nowadays after my brain developed and matured a bit more, I actually really respect what Blaze Bayley did for Iron Maiden. He didn't ruin the band (as many Maiden fanboys assume), he helped it keep on going when Bruce left for his solo career. We wouldn't have albums such as Brave New World and A Matter of Life and Death, if Blaze Bayley wasn't there to keep the band afloat.
