Well executed but really unoriginal.

Much better than DT's last few though overall but then DT have been on a downward slope for a while now. If DT released something like this it'd be a real improvement.

It does start to get really boring mid way through due to most songs being similar - so boring I struggled to listen to it after track 7 or 8.

All valid points. It needs to be tightened up. I liked the incorporation of female vocals. And yes, DT have not been quite themselves lately. But I still cosiderthem to be the enchmark of the genre.

That Advent Sorrow album is really interesting. I was a fan of them already when they released their EP, which was a good Dimmu Borgir copy. Started following the band on social medias, they've been pushing this album for a long time now always labeling it as depressive/suicidal black. I thought they were idiots thinking their Dimmu Borgir music belonged to that style. Well fuck me, the album didn't at all turn out to be like their debut EP.
