The same Wolfheart you love, now with a sharper edge. Album number six showcases more of their trademark high-quality melodic death metal with the intensity of thrash metal.

Meh. no memorable melodies or moments. they changed their sound after Tyhjyys album and put some black metal (like blast beats and fast riffs) in their music that I think doesn't fit their style. at least Constellation of the Black Light has good moments and melodies but these last 2 albums doesn't impressed me at all. They are best at creating melancholic melodic death imo.

This is a band I've not really paid much attention too until now, but this album impresses me quite a lot. The songwriting is great, and I like both the clean and harsh vocal performances, and it definitely has some very strong melodic moments that make this album memorable, for me anyway.

I'm sort of getting an Amorphis vibe from this, along with some Amon Amarth style riffing, maybe it's worth digging into the rest of their discography, if this album is anything to go by, I think I will like their previous stuff too.

"Skyforger", "Knell", and "Cold Flame" are the three tracks that seem to stand out most for me.

Hmm, I think the reality is quite the opposite of what you say really. The Black Metal influences were here since the begining, even more on the first album Winterborn. And the album where they are the weakest is the previous one. I'm glad they are back with it now.

And I wouldn't even discuss wether it fits their style or not because .. It IS their style! And has always been.

It's nothing new from Tuomas but for the first time in years the songwriting is really good and the album is not 40 mins. Knell might very well be the best song he has ever written, even better than Everlasting Fall.

I have to admit I never heard about them but I am glad that, curtesy of Metalstorm, the band was introduced to me. I was growing up in ages past when melodeath was born (times when DT was releasing splits with Desultory... 30 years ago... I'm old) so this type of music is close to me. So far opening song is, in my opinion, the best one but this will evolve with time I am sure of that

How many bands what sounds same he can run same time, only value is its comes from Finland and north where metal values are higher and less good album can be a bit better, otherwise I dont see anything special.

I do like it but it kinda bums me out. Maybe it'll grow on me.
Solid effort nonetheless...

Great album for me!! Always thought it was my least favorites Tuomas band compare to Black Sun Aeon Before the Dawn and Routasielu!! But this one is more melodic and "diversified" than his previous albums and having 2 guests help it as well. Knell and Desolated land are my fav song in it!!

Man, I thought that was Tuomas doing the deep vocals on 'Cold Flame'. Now I know it is Karl Sanders. Great album, one of their best.

Yeah this is very good. I find the second half of the album stronger than the first, but it is all around good. They did a better job doing Amon Amrth riffs than AA themselves. Add in a touch of melancholy and atmosphere and you got a pretty good album. I kinda wish it was slghtly shorter (I tend to prefer shorter albums these days), but the songs doesn't feel too filler-ish so it's all good. Best song for me are Cold Flame and Headstones.

Toumas has started sounding repeated and bit generic. There is nothing that we haven't heard before. The whole album is not bad at all but I dont feel like repeating it anymore. Just good...that's all.

In the beginning I was made of clay. Then I bit the apple and they changed me to metal 🤘

Wolfheart don't really make a bad album. I thought their previous effort, The Wolves of Karelia, was stronger, but again this is a very good album again. Songs like the king and cold flame, ah what melodies. Only Tuomas can write pieces like that

I am surprised by how much of a bad album this is. The difference in quality with the rest of the albums is tremendous. The only logical explanation is that Tuomas was so much busy with his three projects (BtD's album was good btw) that he had no time to work on anything for this album and he was obliged to release it due to a contract... I think that I heard 1 worthy riff in the whole album (in Cold Flame).
