Haha, neither do I to be honest. I gave it a 5 though so it couldn't have been a positive one =P

wouldn't this be considered more of "Progressive Technical Deathcore"? Considering the dual vocals and such?
In a word, no. I'm actually not even completely sure why the progressive tag is on this, maybe just cause there is some long songs.

Deathcore?
Yeah I don't quite understand that. I also don't know how "dual vocals" would change the style of an artist at all.
Don't quite understand it? Listen to the song "Coexistence" It has an obvious deathcore vibe, complete with a breakdown. And if Dual vocals and breakdowns don't mean shit, then Suicide Silence is a Death Metal band.

Album features dual vocals and one song on the album has a breakdown, suggests genre be changed to deathcore. I don't think you'll find many people agreeing with you on that one, man.

Yeah I'm not even going to argue this. I listened to the song. It's clearly not deathcore.

Dying Fetus has dual vocals and breakdowns. Guess we better change their style too.

Guess The Black Dahlia Murder isn't metalcore then either? Since both bands have nearly the same vocal styles. This and this sound so different right?

No, they're not. Purely death/MDM.

Nobody here is trolling. You suggested Beyond Creation is a deathcore band. The vast majority of people who've listened to deathcore and Beyond Creation will disagree with you, and the fact you chose to use a "deathcore vibe" and dual vocals as your only reason for said suggestion isn't exactly going to convince anyone here that your opinion holds any weight.
As for The Black Dahlia Murder, they're generally regarded as a melodic death metal band now. As in death metal with a focus on melody. Their metalcore days are long behind them.

It was strong debut. Little flaws encroached in approach of The Aura but overall it was decent one.
The one that gone down to become an absolute turd was their new release last year "Earthborn Evolution". Totaly downgraded cheap unpurified and crappy tech dm show. Well, at least for me I couldn't past ONE SPIN and shut the whole damn thing afterwards.

That bass is indeed something special...both haunting and addictive, and very refreshing.

Definitely their best. A shame they went a bit downhill after this one (although Earthborn Evolution does have some great songs).
8.7/10 for me - 'Coexistence', 'Chromatic Horizon' and 'Omnipresent Perception' are the best songs on this album IMO. The rest range from fairly good to good.

I agree with the comments above about the basswork, it's phenomenal! And so is the guitarwork and drumming too, when it comes to technical death thus is one of the best I've heard in terms of musicianship.
The songstructures seem all over the place at times, as if they were given free roam in the studio to play how they wanted, so they could work their own magic, but at the same time, amidst all the technical madness, it's actually vert well crafted together. They're one of the few technical death bands I'm able to fully appreciate along with Quo Vadis.
"Coexistence", "Omnipresent Perception" are the two strongest tracks on the album for me, the rest of the tracks are good, but those two tracks are very good.
