The only band that I have thought " this is to technical...make it stop " was when I was listening to Atheist for the first time

That's what I thought/still think about Gorguts. There's a fine line between music that is aiming to be overly technical and that which achieves this yet is incoherent.

I have to agree with Gorguts, especially their album Obscura. It's so technical and avant-garde it's almost painful to listen to.

Brain Drill are the most technical band I have heard, But they are technical to the point of being annoying.

That song is definitely more technical but I still dont like this band, IMO the music is too technical for its own good, when I hear the songs they just hit me as a total blur, I find it hard to remember anything after giving their records a listen. All opinions of course but most technical bands dont do much for me.

if you get through about a minute it slows down and turns kinda deathy, i love technical music, when i listen i try to think about how they remember how to play it. my hands always air guitar when i here brain drill

Definitely Viraemia.

I think viraemia wins this thread hands down. but my fav tech band is Car Bomb... But both of these bands r sadly silent for the past few years which makes me a worried bloke.
