A couple of questions:

1) How can you make a hyper link of your Profile and ahve it in your MS signature? (think that makes sence, if not look back at some of the peoples signatures on the first page of this thread)

2) Until the upgrade that they are making is complete, are the songs that we're listening to still being recorded and will appear on our lists after it is complete?

3) We are allowed to add the people that have posted their profile names here in Last.FM under 'friends' right? Because im looking pretty sad here with only one person under my 'friend' tab, lol.

1. You seem to have a link to your profile in your signature already.

2. Did you even read the upgrade message? It says no data will be lost.

3. You can add anyone to your friends, there's nothing to stop you.

To make hyperlinks, just use the [url] tags.
In your case it should be
[url]http://www.last.fm/user/Alpha_Breed/[/url] <-- Just copy-paste this.

As for the second point, everything is currently stored on their backlogs and even if it doesn't appear in your overall chart, it's still there.

Hyperlink is exactly what you have in your sig right now, so I'm not sure what you mean. So do you mean those pictures of recently listened songs or something?

Na, i know how to put the 'Recently played song' and that in the signature ... i wasnt sure how to make the web address into a hyperlink ... but Draklar fixed that up for me and i know how to now so its all good and fixed now . Thanks for taking interest in helping though KryptoN

What does everyone think of the new update for features & design (well subscribers have had it for a good while already)? I think it's great, especially the grayscale theme. There are surprisingly many people whining about it like babies though.

I quite like it Takes a little bit more time to load (for me anyway), but the lay design that they've done are really cool. Specially like how you can change the skin themes. They've made everything look very good.

Well, the "dashboard" was kinda unnecessary IMO. It was fun to browse it once, but now I always go directly to my profile. In exchange for the dashboard the site became slower. Because they have to calculate more, and show more statistics on every page. The picture thingie was a good idea, but they should make it look less chaotic. Now some images are only viewed for the half, and they are all of different sizes.

So yes, I think we have a right to whine. On the other hand, nothing changed and it is still the last.fm we all like. I just think they released these new features too early. The new features still need a bit of improvement.

I can agree it's a bit more limited in a way than the earlier systems used to be, but it's still not that bad.

The slow down is not happening because of the update but because of other problems. The staff has stated that many times. And I haven't noticed any kind of slow down myself.

They are working on improving that. It is a good idea indeed but currently it just sucks. You can turn it off from the options until it works properly, or if you prefer to go without them (like I do).

Oh and ii have both the things mentioned in my signature now. Guess i should have posted that i had worked that out hehe

Has anyone worked out how to deltele some of the tracks that you've played? .... My sister was on it

You can delete recent tracks ("view/edit more recent tracks") but for now you can't delete tracks that you have played long ago. And if your computer has more than one user, why don't you just disable audioscrobbler when you are not using the computer? You can do that easily with just 2 clicks from the taskbar icon.

@ KryptoN: Thanks dude, see you got my PM on Last.fm then Yeah i thought i did disable it before i left the computer (new pc and im still getting used to iTunes) but now i know how do disable it. Thanks again.

ANOTHER question lol ... when do the Neightbours get updated? Because mine have stayed the same since they got calculated a couple of months ago.

Maybe it's because the match value of your neighbors is so high. When you look in detail view, you can see how high they really are- http://www.last.fm/user/Alpha_Breed/neighbours/

Then when you look at mine- http://www.last.fm/user/Dream_of_Hate/neighbours/, the match value is extremely low.

I don't know if this is the reason why your neighbors are still the same, but this is something KryptoN showed me, and he said mine were unusually low for some reason.

Thought that the 'Match Value' percentage might of had something to do with it... but the exact same for 2 months? Seems a bit odd,

Also could it be that the site is just getting everything setup from the whole change and the Neighbour calculator isnt the biggest priority possibly?

Ah, I didn't knew that was possible, cool. Mine are really low too, I don't really get it why, perhaps I haven't listened to enough tracks to get a strong match.
