When adding a band member and the member isn't on the list is it necessary to submit all the required info right away, it can be quite difficult to find that information.
Does the band's member name have to be full-length real name, many musicians have nicks or use first name only.

One qestion though. The DVD cover will be a problem, I mean it has to be 150X150, but DVD's hight is bigger then their wieght (I don't think I made myself clear , so I mean is, that usually a DVD cover would look like 150X230 for ex)
I think it says 100x150, not 150x150...
I think I missed that, sorry.

Goddamn, it is going slow. My computer is slow, the programs I use are slow. I just want to upload one friggin picture, and it seems God makes it impossible.
However, I'll keep trying for the wonderful lay-out you have made!

To add a ex-bandmember, is it important to have his birthday? Because I can find a list of the ex members of Behemoth for example, but not all of their Birthday's are featured. Is that a big problem?

Birthdays are not important, you can easily omit them.

Just a quick question: When we're adding stuff like album cover images, or whatever else we're adding, do we say in the comments "Added album cover for Band - Album" or do you know already what is being sent for what band?
We already know the band and album. What would be more useful is your source of information and reasons for editing something.
Ahh ok then. When you say 'source of information' does that mean we have to give a source for album images as well? For, say, band members it would be easy enough, but I have LOTS of album covers just sitting on my pc, and most I wouldn't remember where I got them from. Would that matter?

Album images don't need a source, just the information

Ok then I've submitted a fair few 100x100 album images so far, and the Axenstar one was put up by Deadsoulman. The rest must be in queue. I still have some more to come as well

If band members have used pseudonyms, should we use them or the real names instead. Is there a rule about that? It's possible that the same person will be on the database under two names, that can create a lot of confusion??

Every member should only be present once. Pseudonyms should be added this way: Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho

It all depends on an individual case, I guess...

Another question I have for the wizer. When adding band members to disbanded bands should we leave the "departed in" field empty or should we write there the year taht band was disbanded?
Edit: Many old releases are on tapes. The layout is much different, width and height aren't equal. Making them equal using force makes them ugly, and the picture isn't original anynore.
Are we allowed to add black borders to those picture, as the background on MS is black it won't be seen and picture remains normal?

Hey Jeff, thanks man.
I want to post a post here with a HUGE lot of respect for you. A LOT!!
I've been editing about 50 pics in three days, and I am tired of hell. And you added so much more than me.
So all the moddies, staff members, administrators and all who I forget, big kisses from me.

I was just wondering...why do pictures must be exactly 100x100 ? Cause there are some covers, especially for the demos, which are not at all square, and it looks pretty ugly in 100x100 format. It doesn't work 100 for hight, and for example 80 width...? To keep the image proportions...
Cheers to all of you, people !

No it cannot work unfortunately... And we had the same problem in the V2...
Now Mr Design (Ivan) will probably give you a better answer than me... and maybe a solution

So I've been adding the disco pictures from bands such as After Forever, Carpathian Forest, Epica, Kreator, Cathedral, but they aren't online yet. Is that because there is a loooong queue line or are they lost somewhere?

Yup, exactly...
Plus with the huge traffic it's slow and a bit hard to check everything...:-| so it will take time...

I have a problem though. I was trying to add video and trivia to Negura Bunget's page, but I assume that I've failed, cuz I didn't get the confirmation/rejection or the 'someone else has updated this, and it's waiting for confirmation' message.

You haven't got a message yet, or you didn't see the green bar confirming it?
If you haven't got a message, it is most likely due to the huge traffic, as Jeff said. If you didn't see that green bar, I can't help you.

I have a question:
what about bands that have members who used to be on a position then changed to another after a while.
examples:
In Flames:
Bjorn Gelotte: joined band in 1995
1995 - 1998: playing drums
1998 - present: guitars
Drak Tranquillity:
Martin Henriksson: co-founder 1989
1989 - 1998: bass
1998 - present: guitars
also a similar case is if a band member used to do two things then only focused on one. many examples of that. How can we add that??!!

You should add it either as:
1989 - present: bass, guitars
or add two records:
1989 - 1998: bass
1998 - present: guitars

I think the second option looks much better, except in rare cases where _ alternated playing two instruments for some albums and one inst for some albums within quick succession.
