A local gig with a HEAP of my favourite local bands playing, and unfortunatly its 45 minutes away and no one would drive me... plus it was a joint gig with metal and my most hated genre, hip-hop/rap. Lol now who in their right mind buts on a gig with half metal (and these bands are brutal) and bloody hip-hop/rap? Gargh

a metal challenge between 4 local bands and i've missed it coz i was haveing an exam the day after it

There have probably been a lot of good bands I missed, in most cases because of forgetting to buy tickets in time. The most recent case was because of bad economy though. I wanted to go to the Swedish magazine Close-ups festival about a month ago with bands like Opeth, Evergrey, Amon Amarth, Katatonia and Bolt Thrower among others playing. Very close to home but financially soo far away...

@Lenore: Woah! Thats a killer killer line-up to have missed. Luckly the cost prices for the venues i attend are only $5-$15 at maxium - although the line up is only of local and rarely other bands from the mainland of Australia.
Also, if you look at a map im on the big island state located towards the bottom of Australia, no bands come here (and they why should they lol), even when they say 'Full Australian Tour' we often know that its not 'all' of Australia. So i miss a hell of a lot of bands when they come to Australia, which sucks.

Because the show was on monday and I had an exam on tueseday. I got an information 2 days later - it was said that the show was awsome and that Nile gave their best on te stage, but unfortunately they only played for an hour.

Missed Opeth in April, cause my parents wouldnt let me go to the city at night by myself

Cannibal Corpse, Condemned and Prostitute Disfigurement in Dublin. I had permission and everything to go, as I'd been to Dublin before for a gig and been trusted, but I was told i had to pay every bean of it myself, simply couldnt afford it. I was annoyed that I couldnt see Cannibal Corpse and Prostitute Disfigurement, Comdemned are a Belfast band anyway, and are pretty local to me - I could see them at any time. But my loving bf brought me back a Prositute tshirt! Which made the disappointment of missing the gig a little less heavy

Well it sucks so much to miss concerts ahhh the last one I missed is Yngwie Malmsteen today , and I have the money but the thing is that is kind of far away so I always depend on someone to take me there and unfortunatly everyone is busy and to take public transportation is far and is gonna end late so too bad ...

I'm not going to be able to see Cradle Of Filth next month in Gothenburg cause I don't have any money and my parents wont drive me there It sucks!

I missed Katatonia + Novembre tour becauseof my final exams... I'm in medical University and this year has been one of my hardest ever is not the hardest... That's why I didn't come to Ms and that's why I had to miss a lot of concerts... this Katatonia-Novembre gig as I was told was awesome so it brings even more sadness...

Last one I missed and regretted was Napalm Death, agghh I dont know where the hell I was but I so missed it and Im still pissed off about it

Ill Nino...28th Feb 2006...i missed this one out because i wasnt 18..and it was an 18+ gig, yeah 8 days later i turned 18, and i was devestated that i missed it...

Mudvayne also came at the start of the year as a part of the Big Day Out line up and whilst in Perth, did another show, so they did 2 here, one by themselves and one in the Big Day Out line up. i missed them because i dont like BDO...and i couldnt go to there second gig cos i wasnt 18...

Well i miss Moonspell again and again, its just my destiny, or because I have tests or because no-one wants to go and i dont have car. I missed them this week too.

Yngwie Malmsteen.

My friends and I were going to see Yngwie at a small club. I bought all the tickets (it was an 19 and over concert...we were all 19 or over) and they were going to pay me back the day of the concert. I got most of my money from them. Anyways...we got there and we were in line for about 2 hours...a little more. Well just before going in...the guy at the door tells everyone in line that you need some ID.

Well 3 of us had ID, but one guy didnt (he has no form of ID...and I dont mean that he forgot ID...his ID doesnt exist). We tried to get him in but we couldnt do anything about it. We werent going to leave him so we all left. Obviously we were all pissed off, and angry at our friend with no ID. Then one of my friends suggested we sell the tickets so that I get my money back...well we did that and I got $140 canadian...so it wasnt a total waste. We ended up going to a pub and drinking beer and eating (which I paid only $20 out of the whole bill).

I guess it wasnt totally the guy without the ID's fault. I should have told everyone, especially him, that it was an over 19 concert before I bought the tickets...then maybe he just would have gone with us...or another friend could have gone in his place. I also completely forgot the fact that he had no ID. We all learned our lesson...well most of us have I think. At least I got my money back...and at least I wasnt missing someone like Iron Maiden, because then I would have gone crazy.

I'm going to miss Dog Fashion Disco on July 2nd...I've been missing these guys every time they came here and dammit, I'm going to miss them again simply because I have no ride...Molly Hatchet is coming here...seriously...if I miss them then I have a problem...

I missed Gamma Ray because it was an 18 and over venue and I am not 18.What pisses me off more was that there was an autography session after the show meaning i could have had Kai's autography (at least I have Jens Johanssons).But that shit is going to haunt me forever....

I missed Metallica playing in Dublin last Sunday, but because I had teo exams the next day. I'm not too bothered about it, because I know they'll be back with the album tour, and I'm going to see Maiden in December . Actually, given all the stories of age limits, I sincerely hope nobody asks me for ID. I look much older than my age, but if a bouncer tries to stop me....>:(. Well, it's a big gig, so hopefully I won't be stopped. Especially since all the 12-year-old pre-pubescent mallcore kids will be there for Trivium, and I have a fucking beard!

One of the gigs I've most regretted not going to is Judas Priest IN MY FUCKING HOMETOWN of Belfast last year. Well, my reason for not going is quite legitimate-I didn't listen to metal back then! :p
I hope they'll come back, but I'm afraid that due to their age they may split/die before they get here

I'll miss the Metal Concert in Göteborg/ Sweden 17th Juni. Where will be one of my favorites band Opeth and other swedish band Evergrey.
In that day I'll will take a plane to my born country...
Is a shame...and just when I have enough money...
But I'll see my family and friends...that's pretty Ok

I've missed a lot of concerts, the last one was Helloween due moeny problems, other shows missed were Angra, Mägo de Oz, Tierra Santa, Marduk, Dismember and many more. I've started to save money.

Last week I missed Hatebreed, but I was so fucking tired from another show and rehursals, I was a bit sick, I had noone to tag along and I didn't really wanted to spend the money.

I still regret it, but I'll try to make it up with Obituary tommorow night.

Today's Heineken Jammin Festival, Metallica and lacuna Coil, damn it!

Well I hope this counts, but when Dissection got their gig cancelled in Israel a day before the show....second year in a row!!! its sux so much, I wouldve gone to the Kreator show if I knew that Dissection was going to cancel. Stupid country.

I missed Obituary a few weeks ago (I think) because I didn't have enough money and I need to start saving otherwise I'm going to miss MORE gigs this side of the year.
