Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?

Or they really like At The Gates.

Unless you like kiddie-core, metalcore with deathcore prominence, I'd highly recommend staying away from new The Faceless. God-awful. Just f-ing terrible.

Well, since your opinion usually doesn't mean shit: So I'll be sure to check it out. Thanks.

I don't know why I wrote that. I doubt it means anything. The album is stylistically pretty vanilla death/funeral doom. But I've always found Evoken to make very high quality stuff. Pretty atmospheric and dynamic, with a vast and spacious sound. Like some underground dwarven fortress.

Vanilla death?

Does that seem like the likely interpretation? "Death/funeral" are used as alternative descriptors for "doom" here. I find it a little too dynamic to be purely funeral doom, there's a dose of death doom there.

Some kind of avant-gardish melodic death metal with a girl singing (clean) and some male growls. Sounds like the melodeath equivalent of A Forest Of Stars, it has those antique influences in their music.

Finally an Argentinian folk metal band that mixes our folklore with metal and not scandinavian, celtic, etc. Awesome musicianship (especial props to the singer) and insane production.
The band provided a free download for the album on their website, here it is case you are interested. Released last week.
