I actually had to resort to converting apps to post that. Although I learned I had to be able to tell how tall I was in imperial measurements a long time ago. Or The conversation with an American 6'4" guy who doesn't understand how much a centimetre counts for someone as moderately short as me becomes pointless .

Although, even in Canada we use the feet and inches when talking about height, regardless of the fact that all throughout school for math and science measurements are almost exclusively meters, centimeters, etc. If I was talking to a friend and asked how tall they are and they said "165 cm" I would say okay mr funnyman, really, how tall are you. I'm not exactly sure why we use feet and inches, but that's just how we do.

I say since I'm taller than you, I should get to decide what measurements to use

How could anyone not know it was a Team America kind of joke?

Anyway, that's obviously the rule you tall people try to force on the shorter. I demand to be taken seriously even if I'm just 5'4" and a quarter. That quarter matters to me, okay. It does. It's a lot! It makes the difference between 164 and 165 cm . More or less, don't bring a calculator to it haha.

Now if only we could follow suit and handle money the same way they do. When I visited it was very refreshing to have the taxes added into the prices before you pay so there isn't any silly $1.14 prices and stuff like that.

I get pretty precise with my height too, actually. I think it's just that I am so honest I would feel bad telling people I am straight up 6'3, cause I know on the inside I'm not. I am 6'2 and 3/4 without any shoes or socks on. If I wear my air force 1's I am probably almost 6'3 and a half but my other shoes add less than that.

I remember a series on TV which was about two policemen, one from Canada and the other one was American who went through some quests in every episode together, and there was always a big emphasize on the different characteristics these two had, that police from Canada was handsome, very polite and always so ordered in plans, well-dressed, and polite to women, and opposing to all of these was the American police.
