I've recently found a liking for Agalloch, and I looked for similarities but I found nothing. I know Agalloch are one of a kind, but I request bands that:
...Created Emotional Atmospheres.
...Sound Melancholic.
...Good Production.
...NON CHEESY.
...Preferably non satanic, but if an album holds a satanic track or two, I can delete them.
...Vocals aren't a very big problem, they can be clean or anything.
Notice I put this in the General Forum because the recommendations may range from melodic power to atmospheric black.
Thanks in advance for anyone who helps. List me as many bands as you can.

I just listened to their latest album, It's good, but I think I'm looking for something.. with more clean vocals.

Then check out Austere (or the 2010 Grey Waters EP for some good atmospheric rock).

Lots of stuff has been mentioned that aren't really that similar to Agalloch, so I'm going to throw Altar of Plagues and Winterfylleth in there. Great stuff.

About "Austere" everything is great about their album "To Lay Like Old Ashes" exept the clean vocals(which I was looking for). I didn't like the other band though.

Ok, I'm looking for a clean vocals like in "Ulver", or "Falkenbach". any help?

Not from me - I tend to stay away from that stuff. Maybe ask Jiri, as he's responsible for creating this list.

I once had the same idea, to look more into that type of music that these gentlemen create, yet, i found only dissapointment trying to find something similar. I would only recommend:
GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR!

Somewhat less angry than agalloch ( at some points) yet the feeling and ambient is definately there.
I hope this helps you,

GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR!

Mindblowing band, and a great recommendation to anyone who likes music in general.

There are plenty of bands that sound like Agalloch, a good one is Gallowbraid as well as this year's previously mentioned Fall of Rauros.
