Why I bought this album I don't know, the weirdest thing is that I am really impressed with the results, let me explain. Static-X an alternative/industrial metal band, most times I see a band like this and spit on their album (well not exactly it's just a representative saying) and I spit with more anger if I hear a song like "Black And White" or "Cold" in MTV. Wow this album is really good. Similar songwriting throughout the tracks ends up being a little tedious, but overall a great groovy release from such a popular band at the time.

Not my most favourite band has to be said, and certainly not my most favourite genre, but this is a decent album nonetheless. Not so keen on the hardcore vocals but can get used to them over time, musically though it's fantastic, it has a great rhythm, production and sound, it's just a shame some of the songs get a wee bit repetitive, and the songwriting isn't that great either, but the grooviness certainly makes up for that.

I didn't think this album would be this much fun to listen to. The rhythm parts are amazingly catchy and the production is very on point. I could definitely imagine young Devin Townsend drawing some inspiration from these guys for his SYL stuff and vice versa.
