At the graves?
lol
Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?
Or they really like At The Gates.

22.10.2012 - 17:15 Written by [user id=4365] on 21.10.2012 at 18:13 I remember the name, I think they are on tour with Vildhjarta and gonna play in Dürer in Budapest, too bad I can't see that. Just listened to this and it is amazing so I am even more sad I won't be able to see them . Gotta check out that Skyharbor too as well, I guess. EDIT: I am also surprised this band is on MA, they seem to have a very weird policy on djent, seeing as Textures, Meshuggah, and this are there but no Periphery, Tesseract, Animals as Leaders, Fellsilent, Vildhjarta or Uneven Structure. Screw their stupid decisions on "wat iz methul" and what is not.

Local doom / sludge band Sea Bastard are releasing their debut album in a few days. Here's a song from it. Sounds absolutely immensely heavy and dirty. Love it.

That Unfathomable Ruination album is beastly. Also going to check out Astral Sleep. Not usually a genre I indulge, but that art is fantastic...

Yeah, I've been listening to that one for a couple weeks or so now...glad to see it here and also surprised to see it here. They certainly have some complex musicianship going on, as it's pretty damn chaotic, even for BDM, but they pull it all together and it's a standout album.

28.10.2012 - 09:07 Written by psykometal on 28.10.2012 at 06:31 If only because brutal death metal (and slam) are genres I rarely see talked about on this site. That's my mainstay, though, so I wish more were into it here. There could be a lot more BDM/Slam bands added to the site, as well. One band that is on here with a great upcoming album is Katalepsy. Why is no one talking about the new Katalepsy? That shit is crazy good slam...

28.10.2012 - 09:25 Written by Misfit74 on 28.10.2012 at 09:07 Fair enough. I kinda agree, which is why I have added a few new BDM bands to the site since being promoted to Staff (Inanimate Existence, Antropofagus, Birth Of Depravity and Visceral Throne so far). I have to admit that I am still very new to the genre but since getting into it some months back it has also been my mainstay, I meander occasionally but keep on coming right back to it. I didn't care for the vocalist on Musick Brings Injuries but the new guy is awesome and I'm very much looking forward to the new Katalepsy album. There is more than you think though (the site has 200 bands with BDM tags ) so look around and you'll see. Nice to know though that there is another BDM guy on here to chat up, my last one (Troy Killjoy) bailed for the real world. I have my own little BDM list/collection I'm building up if ya wana check it out on my profile and make some recommendations. P.S. That new Katalepsy doesn't come out til 2013 so it doesn't really belong in the 2012 Recommendations thread or I would have already posted it a couple months back.

Good stuff, man. Now that you've made me aware of the fact you're one of a couple guys adding new BDM, etc. bands to the site I'll keep that in mind. I always think of some that I wish were on here but aren't, but don't always suggest them. Perhaps this will motivate me to throw out a few more now and then. Yes, true about the Katalepsy 2013 thing. In recent weeks, though, I have posted info for them in the Extreme Metal thread and in the new album's thread also. Thanks for the feedback. Also, I thought Troy bailed then came back? Left again? I liked that guy's contributions here, and I'm pretty sure he reviewed an album I like quite a bit fairly recently...think it was Abominable Putridity's latest. Another band that should be on here is Begging For Incest. Terrible name, perhaps, but just fun slam done really well. Even more so is where the heck is 7 H. Target? Perhaps the best BDM/slam album of 2012 is Fast-Slow Demolition. A couple off the top of my head, anyway. Another great band who just released their first LP, is here: http://www.metalstorm.net/forum/topic.php?topic_id=33046

I haven't listened to as much metal as I should have in the past year, but the new Velnias album, "RuneEater," along with the new Indesinence and Ash Borer albums lay waste to pretty much everything I've heard. I suppose the two sides of the new Skagos album, as well as Panopticon's "Kentucky" were really great releases as well. stream Velnias' "RuneEater" at their bandcamp page
