At the graves?

Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?

Or they really like At The Gates.

This is interesting. Mix of slam and djent with some electronics. It's all done by a guy who goes by the name of Big Chocolate.

Technically not out yet, but I cannot stop listening to this...over and over and over. Brilliant start to finish. Virtually flawless.

I encourage anybody who isn't really into metalcore to check out Parkway Drive's latest album. I went into it expecting dull Killswtich Engagecore that I'd turn off after a couple songs, but instead got what it likely the best modern metalcore album I've hard.

The new Early Graves is really good grind/crust/hardcore/whateverthefuckyoucallit

I'm not really a patriotic guy or anything... But I still get a huge grin on my face everytime I see someone who isn't from Chile praysing a chilean band. They are also from Santiago, cool...
It's nice to see how Chile is slowly but steady getting more and more great bands. Black and doom seems to be the specialities now.

Don't know if you'll like this but I'm really enjoying this other chilean band called Wrathprayer (they have a little profile here now). They released their debut a while ago and I'm really digging it. Discovered it thanks to Jup who gave it a +1. It fits in the category of War Metal although I don't find it too caothic. Reminds me sometimes of Portal (although it's closer to the side project, Impetuous Ritual).

It's just some fine evil shit. In Visceribus Bestiæ is probably the best track but it's all good to me.

What's not to like? This shit is good. Goes nicely with the doomy black/death of Hellvetron and Muknal that both blew me away this year.

Glad you like it! I guess I just thought the War Metal tag would put you off. I also remember you didn't like Teitanblood although I know it's not the same thing.
But yeah, I really like this shit. Wicked artwork too.

Yeah the artwork is fantastic. For some reason it made me think of the famous burning monk picture. To be honest I don't mind Teitanblood that much, I like this stuff more though for sure.

One of those albums I wouldn't mind buying in vinyl just because of the artwork... Since it doesn't seem like the dudes released any cds. Damn.
Oh well, at least I found that I can get the LvxCælis cd (and a kvlt tape) from the label which turns out to be a swedish label. Nice.... I guess I should start getting more active in the chilean scene.

So it shall be... The black metal scene down there seems to be of the more chaotic and so-called orthodox kind which is great.
Also, crazy typo on the comment about the vinyl. It should say "wouldn't mind buying" XP

Fallen Empire is a real great label specializing in releasing black metal, particularly of the raw variety, on analog formats. Quite a bit of great releases on there this year, including some from well-respected acts such as Trist, Vrolok, and the Black Twilight Circle-related Kuxan Suum. I really enjoy the Death Fortress recording "Pulling Ancient Stone." Sounds a lot like Hate Forest and the production and songwriting certainly achieve the atmosphere they were going for. Check it out here and check out some of the other great releases. It's free music... win-win for everyone, really, if you dig this sort of thing.

Wrathprayer are cool, nothing that much distinct or anything but it's really enjoyable for what it is : evil blackened death.
I actually downloaded them because I saw that they were from Chile
