Yup, that Dissection album stands prominantly in my mental list of awesome album covers. I love it so much.

Persoanally I think the Fuck Me Jesus by Marduk (My Avatar) is the best album cover, but im sure their are alot that i have missed that are equally as good, some of the Iorn Maiden ones are fantastic.

Yeah, Opeth albums sure are pretty.

Ed Repka is probably my favourite cover artist. His works are often based on death and destruction it seems, and at the same time his drawing style makes it very friggin' old school looking, I love it.

Has anyone else noticed that both 'In The Nightside Eclipse' and 'Nightfall in Middle-Earth' have an orc in practically the exact same place (bottom left)?

@MH- Damn, the art for Where Dead Angels Lie is incredible. I thought it was generic until I saw the angel wings. I'm surprised I haven't seen it before.

I never just say this out of nowhere, but damn.
That is as bad as it gets! Probably even worse than that Woman wearing a goat's head passed off as Baphomat on the first page of this thread. This cover screams out corny bad 80s comic book cover.
Dissection always have album covers that were horrible and only seemed dark to kids under 10 or the same people who find King Diamond evil and does not think he looks like a Mexican wrestler.
Necrolord is the most overrated album cover artist I can thnk of.

I have one favorite album cover.
