What is your record? How many times you saw that band live?

I'm just curious. Who is the ultimate concert geek? Who goes to every concert of their favourite band? How many times have you seen your favourite bands play? Or other bands?
I'm not a great example, I saw both Slayer and Metallica twice, that's my poor record. Actually, I saw a number of bands twice. Hopefully that will change over the years.
Let's hear it, fanatics.

My record thus far is Nightwish three times. Maybe that'll change in the future, but shows are SO damned expensive.

Well shows here aren't that expensive when cmpared to Pop artistits and such. Like a Madona show is 60E and usually a metal show is 20/25.

08.10.2009 - 18:28 Written by MetallicA on 08.10.2009 at 17:52 SO only 20 more times to catch up with me But then again I had them with Cliff as well, something most oif you will never have unfrotunately. Reading his biography I was reminded of his weird headbanging which was totally in synch with the music but at exactly half the speed. Plus also his hippy clothing, mr. bell-bottoms. Never giving a fuck about fashion at all.

Lol if you're counting local bands then some local alternative pop/rock band twice(i forgot their name, they weren't bad though), and 9.7 Richter, a local Halford/Primal Fear-like band(they even play some covers from these bands), soon gonna be 4-5 for Richter.

For records it would probably be Vader, God Dethroned, Amon Amarth, and Opeth 4 times each. With Unleashed and Iron Maiden 3 times each.

Was a really fucking good time though hanging out with Isaac and Henry. edit: just looked it up, it was in 2006 and I guess I can add Severe Torture to 4 times too. Forgot that they were at all the shows on that tour.

Does he maybe do vocals in another band (somehow Nox keeps popping up in my head but M-A is down so I can't check)? Here is a clip of Seth doing vocals for Deicide on that tour: www.youtube.com/watch?v=J66HCnkcRz4

Yea... Korn twice. I only got into metal like 2 years ago, and not many bands consistently come to NZ. It will be Meshuggah twice come next march though. And Muse, who I saw because I was at the Big Day out at the same time that they were. Interestingly they've come here three times in the two or so years that I've been paying attention. BDO 2010 FTW!!!

I've seen Warbringer about 7 times now (will be 8 in November). Warbringer always swings by my hometown to open for whatever death metal band happens to come by. In September they opened for Obituary, and in November they're gonna open for Vader, etc. Actually the funny thing is, is that somebody at one show asked me if Warbringer was a local band because they play here so often. I've seen Goatwhore 4 or 5 times by now. This year it was only once, but last year they opened for so many shows that came by. I've also seen Into Eternity about 5 times. I've seen Cannibal Corpse 3 times (maybe 4 in December). I've seen Cryptopsy, Strapping Young Lad, Skinless, Epicurean, Behemoth, Belphegor, Black Dahlia Murder, and Amon Amarth live twice. That's all I can think of right now.

I have seem Dream theater 4 times, thought im not their biggest fan but they have come 3 times in here and i saw i one more time somewhere else, for bigger bands that's it. I have seem Iron Maiden a couple of times, and also have seem twice (in a row) A Silver Mt Zion which is one of the best live experiences i had... i think those are the only bands i have seem repeated, no counting local bands, that's other thing...

I've seen Dawn Of Azazel three times and as for big international ones...I've seen Kreator twice! Assuming I get to Obituary and Amon Amarth this month then that'll be twice each for them as well
