My list:
Metallica - Master of Puppets, Metallica, Load, ReLoad, S&M
MoP has been my favourite song ever since I first heard it when I was 12. That album changed my life and fully got me into Metal, it made me know that Metal is everything for me. The Black Album was a very early album for me, helped me got into the genre and was the second album I bought. The two follow-ups are maybe not the best albums ever but when my family went to Greece and drove around the country in a car my mom had a walkman and a tape with those two albums on, which she gave me. I listened to it and loved it and this was before I got into Metal. S&M was my first live album and I'm such a sucker for both Metallica live and orchestras.
Iron Maiden - Dance of Death, Brave New World, Rock in Rio, Somewhere in Time, Killers
DoD was the very first album I bought. BNW and RiR was the first Metal I liked, the first step to a Metalhead. SiT was one of my first albums and Killers... well, it's such a magical album which was there for me many times.
Children Of Bodom - First four studio albums
All their first four albums helped me become a Metalhead and appreciate more extreme metal. These albums are classics to me and this band means so much for me.
These three bands and their albums are listed first for many reasons. They remind me of a much easier and happier time in my life. But the main reason is because they were the only, and I mean ONLY Metal, I listened too for like 4 years! I thought it didn't exist any more good bands, seriously. But then this band came:
Norther - Dreams of Endless War
Since I heard that these guys would sound like CoB there was no doubt if I should get an album. So I bought DoEW and it changed everything. It made me realise that there exist more bands and so much better Metal out there!
I guess that Norther really helped me become the person I am today, or maybe the Metalhead I am today.
Now the list goes on without any special order.
Dream Theater Images and Words, Metropolis Pt 2: Scene from a Memory
These albums made me see that Metal has so much to offer. DT played music and made me feel in a way I didn't thought was possible.
Cradle Of Filth Damnation and a Day
Because this one made me get into Black Metal. (Don't cry all Black Metal fanboys, I know it's not a Black album... at all
)Nightwish Oceanborn, Wishmaster
Got me into female vocals.

I'll focus on one thing here: Amorphis - Tuonela .. This has my current favourite track on it: Rusty Moon, and my previous fav. track.. Divinity. The solo at the end of this song made me shiver for so many times that i feel like i owe the world to these guys.. and so it happens now with the wonderful melodies on Rusty Moon.. I don't even care that there are some weaker songs on this.. all i care is hearing Rusty Moon live once, and then i can die, you know..

My first Metal album was: Iron Maiden - Dance of Death... when I listened it I discovered that the music I loved was metal. Since that, that CD is special for me. But now, my favourite release is: Moonsorrow - Voimasta Ja Kunniasta. Most of the people begins listening Iron Maiden, AC/DC or Metallica, but when we listen a lot of Metal, we discover some excellent groups and we change our favourite bands...

These albums mean the most to me, but I'm not able to bring them into a ranking: Dream Theater -- Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence - Description: The first Dream Theater song I ever heard was this fuckin' cool "The Glass Prison" on "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence". I loved this song so much that I've listened to it all the day. I was fascinated by the virtuocity this band radiated. After a while I checked out more songs on this album and I loved them, too. This album is why I discovered Dream Theater and because of this album I am a great Dream Theater fan today! The band means much to me! Metallica -- Ride the Lightning Description: This CD was my first metal album... It is sill of great value for me because it started my life as a Metalhead  Guns'n'Roses -- Appetite for Destruction Description: I never heard hard rock except AC/DC or Led Zeppelin (triggered by my "Prog Rock Phase" also Deep Purple...) but in general I preferred harder stuff. But triggered by my actual girl- friend I also listen to Guns'n'Roses and meanwhile I connect the songs on this album to my girlfriend which is a very great feeling!

The album that means most to me, is Morbid Angel - Alters of Madness, it reminds me of when me and my girlfriend first met a year ago, because when we met, the CD was on, and we are still together to this day, and still enjoy listening to it  Cannibal Corpse - Tomb of The Mutilated its such a great album, one of the first good Death Metal albums i actually bought. Death - Scream Bloody Gore its an amazing album, i never liked death much but this album is AMAZING, and also my gilfriend bought it for me so when i listen to it, it reminds me of her.

Rhapsody's 'Rain of a Thousand Flames', not the first power metal I heard but it was the first album of Rhapsody I had. After listening to this I was really into power metal

Godsmack - Faceless: All the rage I have felt in one CD. In Extremo - 7: In Extremo's best album, and the first one I got from them, which combines sadness, love, hope and happiness. Excellent. Apocalyptica - Reflections: Their album with drums, featuring the master, Dave Lombardo. Gotta love that album. Tool - 10,000 Days: Personally I see this album as acontinuation to Lateralus, yet better.

Children Of Bodom - Hatebreeder This wasn't the first metal album I got and liked and I was already considering myself a metalhead, but this was the album that truely and deeply converted me and for the first time made me into a real fan of a band... up to now Children Of Bodom are still my favourite band by far... so if this album didn't exist maybe I wouldn't have long hair, play in a band and may be not even listen to metal at all today... so this is the most important and dearest ablum to me for all time...:bow: :bow:

Wintersun - Winersun It's special to me because I found it when I was going through a though time..Some of the songs were sad and other's more lively..so I could always find something that fitted my mood..And I just loved the expression "Please buy this album, don't suck it! Or else... you're a sucker! :]" that can be found on the cover

Nightwish - Century Child I have alot to thank this album for. It was the first album I could "feel" all the instruments and feel every tone Tarja sang. The lyrics captured me and introduced me to the world of metal. Tristania - Beyond The Veil This album was slowly introducing me to the more extreme parts of metal. This was the one were I finally exepted growling vocals and openly enjoyed it. Dark Tranquillity - Character This one made me open for all kinds of metal. I thought at that time: How can something be so melodic and get so hard? This lead me to Graveworm which made me realise that there were more brutal metal bands out there. And most importantly, how good those band actually were. Nowdays I'm to all kind of metal. Grindcore,heavy metal, death metal, black metal,progressive, power, you name it. Ayreon - The human Equation This album took me by suprise. It actually made me revalue the rock subgengres and appricate those more. Mixing so much gengres, it usually leads to disaster. But not this time. Instead we got a perfect blend of many different music styles and a suberb storyline. Voyager - Element V This one is my favorite album, and therefore has a special place on my heart. It's hard to describe exactly what makes this album so special, but it blowed my mind away.

Live! of Blind Guardian: it introduces me into metal. Number of the Beast of Iron Maiden: ir assures that metal was my site. Filosofem of Burzum: it introduces me into extreme metal. Extreme Aggression of Kreator: it points me another way to see many things. 2112 of Rush: this album just rules so much. The Sound of Perseverance of Death: it introduces me into Death Metal. Hammerheart of Bathory: just epic, a gem of nordic art in my hands.

I'll add Wintersun's title album to my list, it is a perfect album which I'll never get tired of and the songs are very touching ... especially Sleeping Stars, the main riff sends chills down my spine.

I would like to replace my #2, because well, I listened to Nord today and now it doesn't seem half as good to me as it did 6 years ago  My #2 goes to Metallica - S&M due to very personal reason and because I overall love that album!
