Personally, I wouldn't even count signings as actually meeting the band. That's more like seeing them.

I've met Iron Maiden when they received a golden CD here in Sweden. I was nervous
I've also met the bass player and the drummer from One Man Army & the Undead Quartet, we had a really nice conversation.

Dude, Iron Maiden are my heros, that's Awsome.

I've met all the guys from Cryptopsy. All were really nice guys. I've also met Ed Talorda of Disgorge at their show earlier this year. Got to have a good conversation with him after the show. Really nice guy.

I've also met all the guys from Psycroptic. It was at a signing session in which less than 10 people showed up. Me and a mate got to the signing earlier and by the time it started there were about 6 people altogether. So due to the lack of people showing up, we really got to have a good chat with the guys. Me and my friend stayed for about an hour in which only another 3 people showed it.

I had also met the guys from Behemoth earlier this year. Actually I only really got to meet Adam and Tomasz (Orion and Nergal). It was awesome.

Besides that, I've only met a few local bands that I won't mention here.

Me and one friend of mine even talked a lot to Dalamar (the drummer) and the brand new keyboardplayer (I don't know hs name unfortunately).. We also bought M the Bard a beer. They also signed my ticket. I have to mention that Ossian wasn't that kind. He is kind of sick of fans.. I guess. He was a little cold with us.
What i liked a lot about Dalamar is that he is very versatile.. He listens to a lot of prog metal (he is a fan of SYmphony X just like me, he saw them and Dream Theater too)

Of course they were awesome! I've seen them on April the 9th, 2006, I guess. I don't remember exactly.. If I'm not wrong his eyes are blue. He's a very nice guy, has no star attitude and shit like that. He was also very sympathic on the stage, too. And I love about the band that they don't use corpsepaint nor extreme clothes and spikes and crap like that.
And I don't remember his normal voice, sorry. But it didn't hurt anyway, I guess he has a normal voice for speaking.. He looked just like a metal fighter when he was down the stage.. Even on they were soooo people, unlike hundreds of BM musicians/fans.. Oh, well... Whatever, I'm off-topic with this but I had to say it...

We went to the show, but something fúcked up and she couldn't get in, so she went to a friend's place nearby. Later on, I went outside between bands and ran into the bassist - lost again . I showed him the way to the venue, and he sorted everything out making sure my friend and I were both put on the guest list .
Liv Kristine - met her as she made her way to the show. She's lovely.

I 've not met any metal musician, but my friends, one Canadian dude has talked with a guy of Strapping Young Lad, one American guy has met all guys of Children Of Bodom except of Alexi Laiho cuz he was taking sleep lolol. That dude also met Wednessday 13 and Joey Jordison of Slipknot. And one boy has met Alexi Laiho and King Of Slayer.

Excluding signings I have only met Ola Frenning from Soilwork. His mother's car's frontwindow was trashed, and I was working that summer with replacing windows and stuff. So I met him at my summerwork. Talked a little and then he told me he played in Soilwork. I didnt noticed that it was him until he said that :O Not a major fan of Soilwork to be honest. But its a local band so gotta support them anyway.

If you don't count signings I met all the members of Crucified Barbara briefly, and Peter Lindgren of Opeth...which was really awesome. My friends met Mikkey Dee of Motörhead.

Also met on of the guitarists of Naglfar at the same bar after the Tilburg show in December last year...

I've met 3/5 members of Cannibal Corpse: George Fischer, Alex Webster, and Paul the drummer. I've met Jack Owen after he left Cannibal Corpse and it was at a Deicide show. I've met Glen Benton and Ralph Santola. I've met all of Celtic Frost at a signing. Well that's about it.

Oh snap, I also talked to Nils Patrik Johansson's son at a small Astral Doors gig, that was cool.

Khm. I saw some bands in the backstage and had a chance to say hello or even made a picture.
But: I was talking three times with Jon Noedtveidt, went to a dinner with Rotting Christ and Children Of Bodom (three of them). Awesome. Nice boys. Very, very, polite. Hehehe...

Ive met Erik Rutan from Hate Eternal when they were opening for Arch Enemy....except he was really quiet and I only said like 2 sentences to him so I guess thats pretty unexciting

I also met Byron Davis from God Forbid at that same show (before the show started), and I didnt realize it was him until he went on stage later on, and frankly I still didnt give a shit.

and as far as non metal goes ive met Colin James briefly when I was younger.
