Metallica Master of Puppets
Forever and ever and always. This is THE Metal song for me. It came during maybe the toughest period of my life and helped me. It's always been there for me. It made me see what Metal has to offer, what emotions it can summon.

Well they've played it live a number of times so I'd assume they were serious about it. They probably felt the need to release a metal anthem and Heavy Metal Universe was the result.

I'd say Crazy Nights by either Therion or Loudness, the lyrics are incredible and it could easily become an anthem to everyone who listen it to

Very hard...I would say "Phantom of the opera" with Iron Maiden, in my ears that song is the most ultimate Metal song thats ever been written.
Another one is "We are the metal law" by Majesty.

"Heavy Metal Universe" by Gamma Ray is a great Metal Anthem, but i think Helloween's "Heavy Metal (Is The Law)" is better It's my opinion though

For me it would be between:
Master of Puppets and 5 minutes Alone by Pantera
both tell what metal is all about

I think that good anthem is Master Of Puppets or The Trooper. It should be something classical.
