Surprisingly good. I was coming into this album expecting just a cacophony of noise. Some of the stuff reminds me of Arch Enemy's "Black Earth", which would make sense considering the members. Most Specifically "Torn A[art" seems to have a VERY similar riff to "Bury Me An Angel". Still surprisingly good.

A forgotten masterpiece. Ironically, this album isn't less good compared to Left Hand Path, and LHP was one billion times more popular and praised. Oh my god...

"The Quaker"
The reason LHP is popular as opposed to Dark Recollections is because the guitar sound sucks goat balls on this. Just made it pretty unenjoyable for me.

Delicious, this and God Macabre are a pair of swedeath albums that really flew under the radar as compared to Dismember, Entombed, Unleashed, etc. but they are right there with them in quality

the guitar sound is filthy and crunchy. Definitely an acquired taste, but it is characteristic of some of the low-fi productions of the time

This is a classic death metal album, although not quite at the level of Left Hand Path or Ever Flowing Stream it's still one of the best for it's time.

Edit: I take that back, this is just as good as both LHP and EFS, the tone, the riffs, the growls, everything is just as death metal should be
