What is your record? How many times you saw that band live?

I'm just curious. Who is the ultimate concert geek? Who goes to every concert of their favourite band? How many times have you seen your favourite bands play? Or other bands?
I'm not a great example, I saw both Slayer and Metallica twice, that's my poor record. Actually, I saw a number of bands twice. Hopefully that will change over the years.
Let's hear it, fanatics.

14.11.2009 - 12:10 Written by BloodTears on 13.11.2009 at 20:52 There are so many bands I have seen more than 5 times. And usually I don't get tired of them. Like with Faal and Akelei I saw there very first ever gigs so then it's nice to see how a band gorws on stage.

My personal record is Iron Maiden, which i've seen 4 times now. On 2008 I followed them through all the mexican tour dates, even sold my guitar for actually going. Saw them at Guadalajara, Monterrey and Mexico City... the first two are about 6 to 8 hours from where i live. On Guadalajara i actually won a fanclub contest in which a friend and I got up the stage with them during Heaven Can Wait, it was crazy. The only bad thing is that it was always the same tour... never seen a Maiden show apart from the "Somewhere back in time" tour.

Not everyone will enjoy this message: I could 've seen Iron Maiden at least 5 times at Graspop but for some reason I never saw their show.

Cradle Of Filth x5 Opeth x4 Despite how much I love a band I will only tend to see them if they are touring a new album or doing a special show (ie playing an album in it's entirety or something like that)

13.04.2010 - 13:18 Written by Valentin B on 11.04.2010 at 10:24 The best gig in my ind was the first time I saw them (which happened to be the first time they ever played Europe). But of course that could also be due to the extreme impact the gig had. They had just finished recording Ride The Lightning at that stage and played For Whom The Bell Tolls (which of course no-one had ever heard before). They blew Venom (the main act of that day) right off the stage. But then again Venom live was always crap

17.04.2010 - 11:25 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 13.04.2010 at 13:18 holy shit, that must have been fucking epic. i know that many bands like Priest or Sabbath have had the surprise of getting incredibly good feedback for songs they didn't expect(like Paranoid and You Got Another Thing Comin'). i know it's too much to ask, but do you remember if Hetfield was something like "ok, so, this is a new song, don't throw tomatoes" and after finishing it and seeing everyone being crazy as fuck, he said "well, we didn't expect this reaction, glad you love it"? oh yeah and outperforming Venom is really nothing to brag about anyway Venom seems to me like a band founded not quite on music, but mostly on attitude and having tons of drunken fun, so i guess Dragonforce and Airbourne would be their prime competitors(which Venom absolutely destroys in every aspect).

I have seen a lot of bands more than once but, the one I have seen the most is KISS, seen them 18 times and probably next is Iron Maiden at 9 times. Seen Motley Crue 5 times, Queensryche 5 times, Judas Priest 2 times, Dio 6 times, Ozzy 6 times, Scorpions 4 times and W.A.S.P. 5 times. That is all I can think of right now but, I know there is more....
