I don't know for you but I'm so sick of dragons. In music, books, video games, etc... It seems they can't avoid talking about dragons these days. I mean, you can create good fantasy without always bringing dragons.

For me, emo is hXc punk. But since everyone nowadays associates emo with listening to Fall Out Boy, wearing tight jeans and slitting your wrists, every metalhead is a self-proclaimed emo crusher.

Well that's pretty much what it was (is?). Hardcore music with a heavy emphasis on emotion, much like depressive black metal =/= atmospheric black metal, although it can be atmospheric.

But we care for each other and that's all that matters to me.

I never cared for macho heavy-ass metal for manly men. Pantera, Metallica, Mastodon. Doesn't float my boat at all. That includes most thrash, to be honest. It's funny how I've grown to love sludge, though. I guess there's something unpretentious about the raw emotion in Eyehategod etc.

Emo is cool, and everybody should know that. Screamo is better, but I can occasionally get into stuff like Empire! Empire! (I Was A Lonely Estate) or the older stuff of Sunny Day Real Estate etc. What does emo have to do with this topic, though? We should make a topic for emo, screamo and post-hardcore in the general music section since it keeps getting brought up. >_>

Black Sabbath. Yeah, it's like the Citizen Kane of movies. But you know what? Citizen Kane is a fucking boring movie. And Black Sabbath just doesnt do anything for me.
