At the graves?

lol

Ya, perhaps they named themselves after the King Diamond track?

Or they really like At The Gates.

yeah, its called Contragenesis

hmm, its seems its been removed from the MA page (take a look at the update log for their page). no idea why though, thats quite strange

it was streaming at http://nuclearwarnowproductions.bandcamp.com/album/contragenesis a few weeks back, but now its just got the one track there to hear. it has leaked though, so im sure if you want to download it you can find it somewhere

thanks for the info. I'll wait for it to hit the distros and then order it from either Detest or Nuclear Winter

Sutekh Hexen are out with a new album titled Larvae. Disturbing but really quite beautiful black metal/dark ambient/noise.

this is good!

Trance Black Metal? Why not:

Not my thing, more or less as far as you can take this kind of music toward gay territory but it's kinda not bad at the same time.

having listened to it a couple of times now I wouldn't call it black metal. There is only one or two blackish riffs and some shrieks which could qualify as black.

btw, it is by Tim from Austere and Nazxul

all the tracks are that fluffy
Calling it metal is even quite a far stretch even though it is done by Tim from Austere and ex-Nazxul

Agreed. Not sure what I'd call it, though, it's an odd mix of a lot of different styles, I think.

Pretty vile and fetid blackened sludge metal:

Cover art looks a bit (style wise) like Dragged Into Sunlight's and the music isn't that far apart either (more sludge than DiS's death metal)

This is pure evil! Good stuff man.

Not really remarkable by any means but some well done melo-death, and considering it's apparently low budget it's not bad:

You can download the full album for free from their bandcamp: http://vondream.bandcamp.com/
Check out 'Over Hate and Negation', very good track I think.

Very not bad atmospheric-ish blackened death from the UK:

The full length is available as a free download at their Bandcamp. Aren't they nice. BreadGod likes this album. Of that I'm sure.

Probably been posted already but what they hey. Just yesterday I was thinking 2012 was lacking some great doom and then I finally got round to listening to this. Best doom I've heard all year. Quite simply this is Cronos doing vocals for early Candlemass:

I think it was posted, but yeah. Completely agree. Best doom album so far, just the kind of take on the genre I enjoy. (I also like The 11th Hour a lot, but it's completely different.)

I did give that 11th Hour album a go but the production really irked me (I made a mini rant, well not even a rant really, on the album thread). I'll give it another go another day though.
