Here you can share with your fellow metalstormers your sorrow, your frustration of missing those concerts. Do not forget to tell us why you missed them.
As for me, the last concert I missed was Dream Theater playing at our capital. Why did I miss these Progressive Metal deities? I had no way of getting into San Juan that night so I had to miss it.

Last gig I missed was Hecate Enthroned this past Monday. I had to miss it because of money problems again; I had to use the money to get an Emperor ticket instead. I'm not savagely bummed about missing that gig though.

The last concert I missed and for which I was really very disappointed was Roger Waters in Athens in June the 18. It was Sunday, but next day I was giving the final lesson of the exams, so... I don't even want to remember it....

Las year Apocalyptica cuz i was in spain and i fligth to caracas the same day of the show and my brother didnt buy my ticket cuz he didnt know that the show was in that day.....so i lost that awesome show my bro suk !

Last Wednesday I missed Skinless and Visceral Bleeding! I'm a bigger fan of VB who were supports but it was only £8 and 15 minutes or so away from my HOUSE! I'm not entirely sure why I missed it but I think it's becayse I saw Morbid Angel the day before and Green Carnation the day after and the day after that I was leaving the country, so it all would have been too much and cash was a bit of a concern though not much. Meh, one day I'll see VB...

it looks like i am going to miss Enslaved, Zyklon and 1349 because i was relying on my brother to take me and everythng but he doesnt want to any more which is rather annoying as well as them, i am going to miss Blind Guardian in london because it is just way too far and will cost way too much. im already stretching my money too far by seeing Emperor when they go to london Daru Jericho: the band my friends are in supported Hecate Enthroned in Bradford

Cradle of Filth in Gothenburg. Why? I live in Stockholm and didn't had the time to travel there. But according to a swedish metal magazine, the concert was bad ... got 4 out of 10.

I missed Kittie this last week because I did not have a ride and because this band did not motivate me enough as to "move Heaven and Earth" in order to assist to one of their shows. I never really got impressed by them even when I have two of their albums burnt.

I missed Nevermore three weeks ago because my car had a grave malfunction that forced me to drive to the next repair shop... This malfunction first occured 1 hour before I wanted to drive to the concert...

Last concert I missed was Pearl Jam at Prague. I was in France at that time and also tickets were pretty expensive. But I really hate myself for missing Nightwish at MOR festival last year. They are my favourite band, but I had noone to go with me (because the festival is held about 400km far from my home). And the most ironic thing was that I thought: "They will come next time for sure, maybe even to Prague, and I will go." And several months after that they said that they will not continue with Tarja anymore. I couldn't believe it.

It brings me great pain to return to this thread but even more so to reveal the band I missed. Tonight Freak Kitchen were playing and the reason I couldn't go was because it's at an 18+ venue. Now, venue age restrictions never usually deter me from seeing a band I enjoy greatly but in this instance the venue is actually a club and talking to a friend, he told me that they always ID everyone at the door. No way would I have gotten in.

Catamenia was in Moscow last Friday, but I missed it, because, first: i don't like club concerts, second: there was nobody who could go with me on this concert; my bf can't stand black metal, but on the other hand, huh, it's not good for a girl to go alone on such concerts...:noidea:

However, I used to and still do go to metal gigs on my own. I mean, as a girl it is MUCH better to go with a friend (I speak from experience) but if that was the only way to see Catamenia, I'd do it.
