Very nice! Though I'm not one for Autographs! My friend got me Peter L. and Martin L.s signature from Opeth while I was away, but I don't see a need for it. In the respectable musical world its a bit different. Having the priviledge to meet the musician/s and perhaps a photo is sufficient. Cool though!

I have a small iron plaque that probably dates back to the 1800's... What? Ain't that a rare metal item? Well, seriously, all I have is a couple of autographed albums, mostly Moonspell's. Nothing very rare, as you can see.:P

I just sold my Out-of-Print Tool "Salival" DVD for $200... after finding out how much it was worth. I couldn't believe it, it had been sitting on my shelf for years gathering dust, when so many people desperately wanted it for their collections. It is an awful band DVD, no live footage just videos, and videos that I already have downloaded on my computer --- so what's the point?

I got all my Anathema cds and dvds signed by the whole band, except of Dave Pybus in Judgment and Shawn Steels in Alternative4(wtf? I 'll find 'em someday!)... I got Danny and Vinnie's picks (Anathema). Also, I got Timo Tolki's pick... A playlist of Paradise Lost's show in Thessaloniki in 2005. A Metallica live cd from San Francisco in 1992. Othes in general are rare shows on dvd from many bands, well-known as bootlegs... Especially Anathema

I recently sold Drowning the Light - Of Celtic Blood and Satanic Pride LP for £120GBP (maybe $230). Some people pay high prices for dumb crap. I also have a Vothana LP I've been offered $150 for. Says a lot for the BM scene really. I don't think anyone would care about DTL and not many people would know of Vothana if it wasn't for limited releases. I think people accept that the're stpid bt sefl for getting or band none. If i ever form a band I'd release one acetate 7" limited to 20 and then make all other music easily available and include those tracks on some other release. Attention where it's deserved, right???

I just recently bought a promo vinyl of Morbid Angel's 'Blessed are the Sick'. No artwork, HANDWRITTEN label and press release/info sheet on the front. It's awesome not sure how rare it is though. Now I need to buy a new hi fi amp so I can actually hear it! I've also got a signed copy of Opeth's 'Still Life' and a couple of other bits signed. Probably the most random is a signed poster of The Workhorse Movement. If you even know that band then you'll know how rare but also completely not in demand it is lol. They're not very metal. They're song 'Keep the Sabbath Dream Alive' could be though if it's actually about the band and not the Sabbath day lol.

I bought this one black metal double disc-set (Masters Hammer "Jilemnice Occultist/Ritual")at a used CD store (well, my current place of employment, but this was before I started working there), got it for about $20. Recently I was curious as to what it was actually worth, went to these 4 websites and was pleasantly surprised: Canadian Amazon American Amazon UK Amazon Ebay ....Guess I got lucky

30.11.2008 - 23:03 Written by Doc G. on 30.11.2008 at 12:53 Sorry to rain on your parade but I saw a copy on ebay sell for $16. I was going to bid on it but missed the end. Anyone can put a highstarting bid but notice that no one's bid on it for $60 when the auction finishes in 9 hours? Nuclear War Now is doing a vinyl version of this. The two albums together as one 2LP and the third album seperately. Third album is only being released for the last track.

Well, the only thing that could be classified as "rare" is a signed Therion concert poster(which i didn't go to LOL), signed by the bandmembers and Uli Jon Roth of Scorpions who happened to be passing by and him and some of the guys from Therion attended some kind of conference on music's power of healing right before the signing session

01.12.2008 - 01:14 Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 30.11.2008 at 15:52 Yeah, unfortunately as Tom said, someone is selling it for cheap on ebay. But the fact that so many people are trying to sell it for an extremely high price is a good idea of what the worth is. Oddly enough I rarely listen to them.
