This feels like a concept album, specially with spoken word samples and "ambient" interludes. i guess black parts are mediocre but they really stand out after those ambient interludes. i also enjoyed how often i heard acoustic guitar in this. there are many elements i like here, but it feels like this band is yet to make their best stuff.
