For me it would be Immolation. I've listened to a couple of their albums, but none really appeal to me.

I hate Death Metal and folk metal, most of it at least. Vocals are awful for the most part. Some are OK. I like MDM and thrash though. I do not like most Metalcore but some is good

Obituary, Death, Slayer, stuff like that. Mostly thrash, death and black. I like some, but after a while it becomes so generic and everything sounds like each other.

Never liked Cannibal Corpse all that much. They may not be the most popular on Metal Storm, but as they are the best selling death metal band out there, there's a lot of metalheads who seem to hold them in high esteem. I've personally found most of their stuff to range from decent to boring. I can't really see what's so special about them.

Led Zeplin and Van Halen (Beatles, too). I just don't see (hear) what all the fuss is about.

Mostly technical metal (Necrophagist), metalcore (All That Remains), thrash (Kreator) and old school death metal bands (Orbituary). I used to care for Dream Theater and Death, but I sort of stopped getting into them now, they seem to have pretty much lost their spark with me. I also can't really understand the hype around Mastodon, I bought their latest album "The Hunter" to see what all the fuss was about, but it never clicked with me as it does with everyone else. I respect them, but their music just doesn't click with me.

Helloween. Their newer stuff is alright, but the Keeper albums just bore me. As a big power metal fan, this is the last thing I should be saying, but it's true. Any under-produced black metal. There's a lot of musically-alright black metal that I won't go near due to lyrical content, but bands like Gorgoroth, Darkthrone and early Ulver are a different story altogether. Enslaved as well, for some reason. I guess I just don't get it. Grutle's vocals are the main turnoff for me though.

Megadeth. The music itself is amazing but the vocals ruin it for me. For some reason, they dont appeal to me.

Play a metal riff here or there and then immediately follow it up with bland radio rock. Plus the singer of Volbeat sounds like he's just trying to be James Hetfield.

I can't stand Heavy Metal for the most part. Power Metal is too cheesy for my liking. I tend to not like much of the "I produced this in my shack-like bedroom in the woods on my pineapple recorder" Black Metal either; just sounds too damn terrible.

I probably would go with Pantera, as the entire Groove Metal genre isn't really my bag. Tool is also another band where I've listened to more times than I can count, but their music has never grown on me. I'm also not a fan of Darkthrone either. I just find their music ineffective, under-produced to the point where it sounds bad...yeah. Never a fan of their music, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I also will admit that I can't stand Glam Metal (hell, most 70s and 80s Hard Rock I find insufferable; Journey, Boston, Bon Jovi, etc), in fact insomuch that there is not a single band in the genre I remotely enjoy (even listening to it I find rather embarrassing). Whenever any one assumes that I listen to Hair Metal, rest assured I don't reply with much tact. I've hated it for eight years, and I don't see my stance changing on the genre.

And I've tried getting into Devin Townsend's works (DTP, Strapping Young Lad), and I know he's really popular around here, but it just isn't my cup of tea. Way too "wacky" for my taste. In fact, just last year on the Epic Kings and Idols Tour, I left the venue right before him (Katatonia was the main band I was there to see and it was getting pretty late anyway). I totally respect the man's sense of experimentation and diversity, but the music itself just doesn't gel with me too much. I've also tried getting into Enslaved and all the elements are there in their music for me to be able to really enjoy it, but for some reason I don't all that much. Maybe it's just their way of doing it that sort of turns me off. I've gotten these same feelings about anything Ihsahn's done as well (solo, Emperor), though I enjoy his music more, so that one probably doesn't count.

Bands I tried to get into but just couldn't: Darkthrone, Kreator, Megadeth, Metallica, Immortal There may be others.. Bands I listened to a couple of songs and said "meh": Cannibal Corpse, Entombed, and other similar death bands. AC/DC,Iron Maiden, Judas Priest (heavy metal in general) Bands I never even bothered hearing at all: Black Sabbath, Generic power metal bands like Hammerfall, Sonata Artica, Helloween... Also Avenged Sevenfold, and other too widely known stuff. Oh, and thrash metal. I skip it right after I hear about the genre.

I also need to mention most of power metal music. There are of course some major exceptions like Blind Guardian, Seventh Wonder and perhaps some others, but the grand majority of the music coming out of the genre is either "cookie-cutter" Helloween (who I never cared for in the first place) worshippers or like Rhapsody of Fire who I think are overly symphonic and bombastic to the point in which the actual metal is left in the background, like an afterthought. I love symphonic elements, just not when they completely take over the metal aspect, something BG was able to avoid with "At The Edge of Time", which is an awesome album with the right amount of orchestral/symphonic elements to compliment the metal within.
